Went mental at that 3rd goal. Right down our end. We knew we had them at that point. Such an important goal.

Just seen the goals and can't take anything away from the finishing, brilliant bit of stuff and much needed from all 3. But.... what the hell are Walsall defenders doing?! Falling over, not marking, no stopping of crosses or shots, ball watching and lethargic. Looking like they have had too much Xmas turkey!?? Bit like our defending against doncaster We played much better v Doncaster than Walsall did today.

The game against Oxford is a vital one as if we win it we should go above them, but lose and a little gap could open.

Only on this forum could the matchday thread of a superb away win, turn into a barney over a manager no one on here was old enough to even remember. I am.

Coughlan said if anyone else wants the job they're gonna have to fight him for it. That's the spirit, lol “Give it Bert Tann till end of season” No way,his later years at rovers were poor including a relegation in a full season as manager.

Listening to the ‘Graham Coughlan post match interview collection’ that I was brought for Christmas. Better than any leading self help tapes & really sets you up for a great day.

But from what is now the championship not the 3rd or 4th division slightly different and just imagine what may have happened if Bradford hadn't broken his leg the season when rovers were pushing for top spot and the board not signed a replacement now he really would have been a legend

We have a fullback playing on the wing and football has changed in the last 28 years. It’s a confidence issue. Merry Christmas. So you youngsters keep telling me but at the end of the day it's about scoring more goals than the opposition quite simple. As the great bill Shankly once said football is a simple game complicated by coaches How true those words still ring now

And reset I went today. Took half an hour to get out the car park and deliberately didn't let one of their players cut me up in his flash car. Don't think he was too happy seeing my missus wearing her Rovers scarf.. Anyone know how many we took?? Bonham touched the ball once I think in the 2nd half. After drawing away to Peterborough I would have been thoroughly pi55ed off to watch Walsall play like that, I saw Wycombe play the same in August. Difference this time is that we were brilliant today. The best we've played this season. Portsmouth is second best. We started on the front foot. Looked dangerous on either flank. THD is brave, has great touch, has a trick and is very direct. Rodman was excellent again today, wins a lot of headers also. Note to GC. Tap up Jurgen Klopp's throw-in coach at LFC. Happy to do it myself for a four-pack of Stella if not. We give the ball away too much from our own throw-ins. I've said it before. When it goes out off their player, just hand the ball to their player and say "you have it" to eliminate the middle man.. We have to pick up a minimum of 3 pts from the next 2 games, I'd be happy with 4 but they are both winnable. Both opponents inconsistent. Bonham rode his luck when the ball bounced off the post onto his knee away from their player. Had little to do otherwise. Brilliant punch from right under his crossbar in the first half. Their goal was lucky. Kelly and J Clarke were both steady. I can't remember Craig and Lockyer heading so much in one game as Walsall panicked and just lumped it. They looked tidy when they tried to knock it about but they weren't good enough to keep up the tempo on that pitch. Upson and Ollie were excellent as a pair protecting the back four. Upson's best game IMO. Reilly played well and Jakubiak played better second half than first. Both pressured their back four and made them pass it bad. Kids' stuff. The starting 11 won the game and we thoroughly deserved it. Lovely punch-the-air celebration by Coughlan after the game with the fans. It's his to lose I would say. Our bench again told the story. Strength in depth. Players trying to displace others, competition for places. Who drops out if Sercombe comes in? He must come back in, maybe Reilly? Jakubiak? It's a nice problem to have. You watch Tom Nicholls clear the stand from 8 yards in the warm up under no pressure and feel his days must be numbered. Are we seeing the last of Bonham also?? Why did Darrell Clarke not see the simplicity of playing players in their proper positions and keeping the same starting 11? Over thinking it. Stubbornness. Create competition in the squad. If someone doesn't think they have to try, they won't. Give them clear jobs and an expectation and drop them if they don't put in the effort. Simple. Really enjoyed it at the library. They had the nerve to sing '..can you hear the Bristol sing..??' We laughed and then scored a minute later. Brilliant. Oh yeah..we owed them one from the home game I think DC got very angry and pixxed off when he knew nothing was going to transpire from the mythical colony and he realised he was not going to get the infrastructure promised. I also think he was trying to play a much too complex game at this level, who knows, maybe him doing his more advanced badges was making him think he needed to do that but it’s done in the prem in the main. It was obvious he was a lost man even after his sitting duck comments, at the AGM or SC meeting. As I’ve said previously, I do sympathise as the players have made it clear, by their latest performance, that they too had lost their will to perform under him and I’d guess because of the constant changes. DC is a very emotional man and he allowed that to cloud what should have been the basics. Just my opinion of course and I very much look forward to his interview with Geoff Twentyman on having a gas in the new year. Thing is, if you’re team starts doing well then that, in itself, would put pressure on those above. Can you imagine playing in the next tier, at our place. Walsall is a team that are a very good comparison to us yet they break even or even make a profit and their ground looks better than ours too. Anyway, DC lost his way but it seems his players maybe aren’t as bad as many thought. I bet Wael & co are very happy we have at last got some wins as I had a brief scan of the official Rovers Facebook page and even those who have always defended the owners, were using some very fruity adjectives about them and many are, or were, on his friends list. I was stunned to see so many give Wael some very bad comments. It seems that even the blue tinted fans now don’t believe a word they say. Sorry for digressing, we need to carry on in this vein and many will soon stop focusing on the owners as much as they are now. Well done Mr Coughlan and team.

I think you might be waiting a little while for that. To quote G20man - "Not in the foreseeable future. Legally bound by a few contractual things." www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p06sn51g - 55:55

Thanks Angas This really angers me though. What are the so bloody scared of ? I feel so very angry right now. We are probably amongst the top 3 loyal fans in the country yet we are treated like faeces

That’s not clear yet due to self financing from the charge set against the mem and don’t forget he is racking up bigger debts that the previous incumbent
