You only have to look through all the leagues to know there is no such thing as playing wingers on the wrong side. In our division ronan curtis is tearing up the division,we had billy bodin doing great as an inverted winger and rodman/bennett mostly played on the left for their previous clubs. In top class football players like hazard and messi do it. Where have you been? I wont get into the other rubbish you have written as its just hate filled sound bite crap. I think you may find that world class players like Messi, Hazard, Ronaldo, Neymar etc are able to play on the left, centre or on the right. It's because they are world class players. League One standard wide players are not able to do this. It is because they are League One standard players. It's hilarious isn't it: "Chelsea can do it, so why can't we?"

Well don't stop there Einstein, why don't you enlighten us all as to why it's not working and we went 5 games without scoring a goal and barely created a chance in most of them? Its because were a very poor team. We lack physicality and height,we have replaced very good players with poor players. We will struggle this season and next even if we get relegated imo. You can have good right footed or left footed right wingers from the premier league to the somerset county league,it just depends on what a particular player is comfortable with in my view.

We signed bennett and rodman both right footed and both played mostly on the left for portsmouth and shrewsbury respectively. But hey stay in your stanley matthews time warp by all means.

These inside out wide players, as someone called them are better when there are full backs that can join in. How many changes have there been at full back?
Sometimes it's all about players building understandings.

It seems to me that when you have players like Bodin an inverted winger can work because they can play with both feet and still provide width, with our mob they are only ever going to cut inside and decent sides can defend that approach all day long by packing the middle of the pitch. You would think that a run of 5 games without a goal would lead to DC going back to basics and playing with some proper width. No doubt he will point to a crappy win against crappy Wimbledon as vindication of his tactics and continued deployment of Nichols up front and we will go another 5 games without scoring a goal. The man is so stubborn it's unbelievable and stubbornness is a poor look for a football manager.

Strange how Clarke continues to pick Bonham I assume for playing well. Yet consistently drops other players even after they have played well. Where's the logic !

Yeah drop Bonham and play drop backs Nichols calling might be as a rush goalie. He is certainly brilliant at keeping the ball out of the net.

DC refusing after match summary on Radio Briz ...Stewart sent along and he sounded dazed and confused as to how the Wombles lost and we won. A bit like those fans who watched this shambles A classic interview. At least by our next home match the new owners will be in place and we should have progressed in two cup competitions. Delighted we have Bonham in goal becoming a real match winner and candidate for player of the season. His contract is up next Summer there will be many Clubs after his signature for sure. You know this for a fact? I took it that DC has been taking responsibility for handling the media during the bad spell, protecting the team and his staff, and then gives the opportunity to others when we get a good result - sign of a good manager in any profession. He deserves his break from it. You're right about the MS interview though - I've got no idea what he was saying, or where the conversation was going.

As laughingas said one issue this season with the use of inverted wide players is that the full backs havnt been as effective as they were before. Whatever brown and leadbitters faults were for us they were always an outlet and alternative to wide players cutting inside. This season the full back situation has been a bit messy with different players being used some of them not naturally attack minded. Nichols has had his chance and i dont think he should be selected but worryingly the other strikers havnt impressed albeit with less game time.
