I imagine people didn't know about this Henbury, like me.
Well on this day of all days,100 years since GB entered WWI it's a great shame.
Oh and there is no need to try and score points for your point of view about the Board by mentioning the other thread Henbury. Bad form.

Poor taste in my mind, it would appear that someone placed a cardboard plaque on the gates took a photo and removed it. No lasting damage but like I said poor taste in humour.

Poor taste, especially on a day like today.
Have shown the picture to a few of my City friends/family and they are just as horrified.
Let's not class all of them (City fans) in the same bracket.

Personally, I find Jamie Carstairs' actions significantly more deplorable than that. Carstairs hijacked the memory of dead soldiers for his narrow, selfish interests, repeatedly, cynically. These guys have defaced the memorial for what they think is an amusing joke. They're a bit thick, probably, but Carstairs, highly educated and working for the university and leveraging local media, etc, was sick.
The memorial isn't the memory.

Carstairs and Green Trash definitely hijacked our War deads' memory for their own gain. True, disgusting behaviour Antonio.

Yes it is poor taste any other time we would all be saying that it's pretty funny in fairness.

A silly prank carried out by a moron.
But let's at least be honest about City. I'm sure that 99.9% of our red cousins will fail to see any humour in this.
When the gates were defaced, they were at the head of the queue to express outrage and, if memory seves, there was an instant apology on behalf of their club and fund raising to help repair the damage.

I wasn't aware of this but now I am I condemn it 100%. I agree with Bamber I am sure most people, blue or red, are sickened by this especially on this particular day. The memorial is to people who gave their lives, more than these sick pathetic morons will ever do or understand.
Whatever colour of support there is no one who should support this. It shouldn't be used for political point scoring either in my humble opinion.

Agree about last time, but I bet the feeling is different now. I cant face going on to otib to see their reaction, but I sense 99.9% on their will be loving this. Don't hold your breath for a statement from Lansdowne's Bristol Sport incorporated either.

What do s**theads do when they're not mocking dead players via song, mocking players disabled family members by song, mocking a mining disaster in South Walkes by song, carrying out arson attacks, vandalising war memorials and not paying tax? How do they have time to support their team?

Yes it is poor taste any other time we would all be saying that it's pretty funny in fairness. To place the plaque on the Memorial Gates, even temporarily for the purpose of taking a photo, was undoubtedly in poor taste and to release the photo today of all days even more so. I suspect (hope), however, that they were simply misguided. Now, if they had placed the plaque on Santa's Grotto that would have been hilarious!

What was the outcome of the minibus full of s**theads that were stopped by the old bill about 30 mins after the stand at Trumpton went up? Anyone get to court? Arson is a serious charge.
