I thought (with rose tinted specs) that following the closure of the last forum matters would be a little brighter / less bitter and less personally offensive
However it appears the some things cannot /will never change and reading recent posts it appears that once again people are resorting to misquoting / personal insults etc
Don't know whether this is all pre season nerves / worries or the latest 'news' about UWE but it seems that we cannot exchange reasoned views in some cases?
May be it is over simplistic but for my part (as a longer distance season ticket holder) I am:
Looking forward to seeing the first few games
Seeing if with DC we will play better / more entertaining football with hopefully results to match
Hoping that an almost team of new players can show some pride in performances (for once!)
Wishing that we get the best outcome re UWE (would suggest that all of us as individuals cannot really affect that 'result')
Praying that this club does not go out of existence!

But if they do go out of existence it gives all those who know how a club should be run ,the opportunity to set one up and show us all how it can be done from the front.

To the OP , Not trying too decry what you are saying, but it sounds like you have accepted the exit from the Football League - and to be brutally honest why there is no chance of an independent supporters group succeeding. After all let's be a "little brighter" in accepting non league football.

No matter what happens to Bristol Rovers 1883 Ltd, there will always be a Bristol Rovers in blue and white quarters competing at some level.

It's about time you accepted BRFC are no longer in the Football league and move on ... He might not like the fact it's true, none of us do but the reality is we are.

Totally agree with the opening post and no its not acceptable that BRFC is now a non league club, but it has happened and we have to deal with it. For me, this close season has been the longest I can remember. Roll on Saturday and hopefully DC has assembled a squad capable of putting the pride back into being a gashead
