But bamber said that was not the case by a long way? And you yourself said the limit was reached 2 months ago so why are we still operating and signing 4 new players including barrett for a fee? The credit limit is 17.5 million but Bamber and I disagree on the value of the Mem. We are still operating because we have the cash to do so but IMO we should take the mention of “a fee” with a pinch of salt. I think primarily signing cheap young players on loan gives the impression of being forced to have a gas meter which accepts coins by the hour rather than being worthy of having a quarterly account with the gas company. At this juncture, for some reason I am reminded of a quotation attributed to Mark Twain: "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."

Are we losing the mem? If the bunch of muddled bitter posters on here are the leaders of the revolution then god help us all. The owners have not delivered on the big stuff but until further notice we need them to keep the club running. The same people on here spent all there time attacking higgs and will do the same with the next owners so they are simply not credible in my view. Im neither for or against the owners but i have more faith in them than the anti owner gang on here. Look at the way they have attacked gashead 81 on here, even ridiculing his business, just plain nasty in my opinion. Wasn’t the “attack” on Gaschat by Gasincider? Wael has always had my support unlike the buffoon he took over from. My concerns now are focused on the exit plans for the current owners. GI has always attacked the owners and lawyers at AGMs and on the forums. There have been Hamer too. I just wondered if they were here in a different guise that was known.

Surprised you have time to write posts that make no sense, what with having to manage your burgeoning business empire...

You've had things explained to you, in great detail, but it all seems a bit difficult for you.

Don't misquote me. I'm using the 'rumoured' valuation of a deal agreed on the Civil Service Club site to base my 'guess' as to the valuation of the land with a football stadium on it. I think that it's a reasonable estimate, but I've always qualified what I've said. This is how you get yourself so confused, you either don't pay attention to, or don't understand what's happening around you. Either way, Swiss isn't responsible for what I post. So your happy to mention me in several posts but dislike it the other way around? Whats the word for that, hypocrisy?

When it's demonstrated to you, repeatedly, what the charge on the stadium is for, what's written in the accounts, and you still pretend that everything is OK and we just need to wait and see what's going to happen, you can't be surprised that you get some gentle ribbing. I'm not doing the charge, the owners' commitment, the fact that you'll never get over me being right about Martin Allen, just not doing that stuff with you again, but if you want a discussion about something new, then great, let's do it.

Guys,
Stop the silly name-calling please.
I asked Steve (ITB) a question to ask Wael, mainly because he has more access to him than myself, by his own admission.
The question: Could he please dispel the widespread rumours that DS could sell the Mem to pay off the debt, without an adequate Stadium in Bristol having been built and operational before any such sale of the Mem.
Steve - could you please accept the challenge or alternatively please ask me into your Box after a home game and introduce me, so that I can ask him directly. The last time I spoke to him was on Gloucester Road en route to Queen Vic after Dagenham game. He was happy to talk then.
I will also ask him about his views on Tifosy as a potential source of funding e.g hire / development of Training facilities.
The answer has the potential to move the debate on. Not a protest group, or a legal action, just a serious question that is preoccupying the collective mind of our fan-base.

He’s currently in Jordan for the foreseeable future though. Please remember I’m not his mouthpiece, so if he chooses not to say you’ll have to respect that and maybe contact him directly on his social media channels. I’m always happy to meet folk if you are in and around the boxes. I can’t necessarily introduce you to him because you don’t go into each other’s boxes without permission. But if you knock on the door he may be inclined to speak. Hope this helps. Steve Can I also add, I don’t want to become a target on here for abuse. That’s not why I popped in to begin with and I get enough on GC. So without seeming like I’m having a sense of humour failure I’ll just ignore any attack posts. It doesn’t mean I’m being a snowflake, I just don’t want to engage that way. By all means ask me anything or maybe pm me a list of what you want to ask and I’ll pass it to Martyn Starnes or Wael at the next home game. Tom is always available on twitter too.

Try showing a little modesty or maturity, then you may get taken seriously. So, let's start again and pretend that all of the boasting never happened, if that's OK with you? What are you trying to achieve with Rovers and how are you going to do it please?

Apologies we got off on the wrong foot....Hope we can converse in a friendly way from now on. I am not trying to achieve anything with Rovers, Im just a regular fan. I go to most home games and as many away games as I can but I have a young family and its not always easy. If I could help the club in any way whether that was giving of some time or some practical help I would do. I would probably have a go at doing something with the SC, but I know I would be blackballed at that given how I have been critical of the current committee so that's a no go, but if anyone else did stand for a run and they wanted some help or ideas I would be happy to give that a go.

I'd simply read it that, because of proximity on matchday, ITB/GH1881 was offering to pass on meaningful questions to the board of two.
Without speaking for him, I'd just observe that he is not trying to achieve anything, but has taken to calling out the rumour-mongers and ITK brigade that offer criticism, but no realistic solutions.

I'm not even going to try Googling it. I wouldn't give Bamber such pleasure.

TBH, I have nothing to be vainglorious about. I guess its just an easy jab because of what it looks on the outside. But thats why I'm happy to meet people at games for a beer, so all the preconceptions can be way laid and maybe pick up some good friends and contacts along the way. I've made some good friends via the forums, both GC and when it was the OF. As a result I've had a good few laughs at home games, and had some good away days too. Your last line is spot on. My definition of being a gashead is one of unity, pulling together to achieve the impossible sometimes to make our club better and to give whatever you can give to do it. For some that will be financial, some it might be professional services, it might also be free time. But you do it because you love the club. Unfortunately there were some that were doing the opposite to that, and are still trying, and they were using the forums to promote their nasty ways. I've taken a pounding for calling it, and trying to put a stop to it, not that I care, I have broad shoulders. So if I can help, and if some of you think I can help by putting some questions to the right people when I see them, then I would be happy to, but I can't promise anything.

I
In a solitude of the sea
Deep from human vanity,
And the Pride of Life that planned her, stilly couches she.
II
Steel chambers, late the pyres
Of her salamandrine fires,
Cold currents thrid, and turn to rhythmic tidal lyres.
III
Over the mirrors meant
To glass the opulent
The sea-worm crawls — grotesque, slimed, dumb, indifferent.
IV
Jewels in joy designed
To ravish the sensuous mind
Lie lightless, all their sparkles bleared and black and blind.
V
Dim moon-eyed fishes near
Gaze at the gilded gear
And query: "What does this vaingloriousness down here?" ...
VI
Well: while was fashioning
This creature of cleaving wing,
The Immanent Will that stirs and urges everything
VII
Prepared a sinister mate
For her — so gaily great —
A Shape of Ice, for the time far and dissociate.
VIII
And as the smart ship grew
In stature, grace, and hue,
In shadowy silent distance grew the Iceberg too.
IX
Alien they seemed to be;
No mortal eye could see
The intimate welding of their later history,
X
Or sign that they were bent
By paths coincident
On being anon twin halves of one august event,
XI
Till the Spinner of the Years
Said "Now!" And each one hears,
And consummation comes, and jars two hemispheres.
