Evening KP, I disagree with you, and I don't often. I agree with Gregory Stevens , and I don't often. You're welcome to say that you told me so later in the season. I may be bonkers to view us on a longer scale. But I do think the manager and players will get us top half. And I don't ever want to go back to changing managers every year. Let's hope I can say I told you so later in the season. I know nobody would be more pleased. Your Sinclair point is pertinent, I think. Surely his enthusiasm and effort put pressure on others to man up. Sounds like Nicholls should be forced to justify selection at #10. How can you not often agree with clearly the most articulate poster on this board, excuse me, the undisputed champion of this board? :-) What gets to me is that this team and manager have clearly worked hard over the years compared to previous regimes. They work hard, things don’t work out. They’re massively pissed off about it and our fans are like “sack them all asap” It would put me off the club. Rovers fans were always loyal. We used to laugh at city, tantrums after every defeat. New team and manager every six months. Take my season ticket back because we lost 0-1 away, bloody Lansdown! We’re becoming what we used to hate! Keep the faith. UTG I’ve said it, since Campbellgate, that we have already become just the same as the 82 & I agree completely with you. The only differences I have with your post is this is no longer like or anything like the conference team, a team who would run at bricks but a team that are disjointed, unbalanced and lacking any leadership. When the team hear their manager say certain things it’s inevitable they will react and I know there is unrest in the camp but will use WAQ’sreason, I can’t tell due to legalities 😉. I will be very happy to stay up this season. D.C has openly said no new players in until one is gone. Payne and Nicholls need gone. We need that same conference spirit and I’m afraid that is long gone as are all but a couple. Now is the time to show support and also for the players to show mettle. I may have my opinions on here but I don’t carry that into the mem. I’ve NEVER booed the team, never will but I am going to cherry pick my games as I’m a very sore loser and fully admit it

By Christmas all the critics will be singing a different tune - believe me the future is bright Anything to do with an ex centre half fronting a deal based on the island inthe middle of the Irish Sea .?

No, when he says it will be bright at Christmas he means Santas grotto has been fitted with some LED's

Payne as well? Already??? Blimey! I never thought of KP as someone who can't stand Payne. Did I say what you are saying ? No I didn’t but I just don’t think he is the type of player that relishes a scrap and who would adhere to the D.C. way. I think that both I have mentioned are just not up to it but it’s only an opinion, one based on the four games I’ve seen so far. In all honesty I’d rather have a squad of young and hungry to prove themselves players, as we did after suffering the indignity of relegation out of the league. As for the rest. There maybe trouble ahead da da da da but whilst there are gasheads and moonlight and chance, let’s face the music and dance ! UTG

It’s so bloody hard to tell when there is no eye contact or intonation and timbre of voice due to this way of communication. I have not been one to slag our players and I was one of the few who was supportive of Ellis Harrison when many, including Steve G, who were saying he was, at best, conference or league 2. I also stood up for Eliot Richards, that massive blunder was by NH and he gave away our only threat at goal, to get Gow. Yes, he wasn’t scoring much but he was winning free kicks and penalties when no one else was doing much at all. I think that if someone had the time & could be bothered they will see that the only time I got angry was when the trumvirate of Campbell, Anthony and Lines, they got the players to revolt against David Penney (sp) & Lines still has me blocked lol. I was so angry that they basically refused to play under DP and that cost us a relegation. All because he was honest & said the squad wasn’t even fit enough to compete, in my view this was the start of the merry go round but it wasn’t very merry. I would imagine my tweets to Lines are still there are I’ve only ever deleted one and that was over a complete misunderstanding but I’m only human so I make mistakes. I think my opinion on Nicholls is and can be backed up by his non scoring record. I may be being a bit hasty with Payne but he certainly doesn’t fit the usual ethos of a true D.C player , one who would run through Pain and distress, for the team and fans but for himself too. It seems to me that we have somehow gone full circle and when I hear of cease and desist letters then it fills me with dread. Anyway, enough from me on this. I basically wanted to say that I don’t normally pick players out to judge but on this occasion I feel I can do this. Nothing I see has not disuaged me from thinking that we are now going to have a relegation battle, so if the Al Qadi family think it’s bad now, just wait awhile and see what happens if our form doesn’t drastically change The worst first five home games since 61/62 as HarryBuckle pointed out. It’s time for a bit of revolution to add to the idea of evolution as I see it. Bad times as that Greebo and wife beating sheet head Justin Lee Collins would say

How I miss the seventies toeneders greebos punks skins rude boys what a mix 🕴👨🎤🏍oh and the knowle West boot boys Hello mucker, Good to see you posting again. I remember, at 19, my brother asking me if I wanted a weekend’s door work at what was then Lords nightclub and they had a strict no Knowlers policy. Anyway, long story short, they managed to get in by being with birds and then kicked off. My god, I have never seen so much claret all over the place as the older and bigger guys amongst the bouncers had their tool of choice stashed away. I was lucky in ending up with just another break of my nose but if I hadn’t had my brother looking out for me then I honestly believe I would have been thrown down those carpeted but concrete steps. I don’t care what anyone may think of them but those knowlers certainly stuck together in those day. I’m making a rough guess that this was around 82/83 & before they had even heard of crack, let alone used it. I always seemed to get into rows with them and the B***** hill battle bus boys. I’m sure you will know who I’m talking about. I was too young to know fear in those days. I look back on it now and realise how lucky I was in the good boys I had around me. To close this, I once ended up in the same cell as the late and crazy Billy Cole. The OB certainly dealt him out some terrible punishment ! I wasn’t all the surprised when I heard he had died. He was just too crazy mate. As I said, good to see you posting and hope all is good with you and your family

I’ve lost 16kg so a bit worried but I’m now leaving it in the hands of the specialists. I’m just around 4-5 years off of fully knowing the guys you do but I know of the stabbing incident. Those were very dangerous times indeed. It’s crazy really as I’d have loved to have been a part of it all but I was just that few years too young to be involved but I really feel I missed out on the music and clobber. When I read CB’s book, it brought lots of memories but only from the outside, looking in. It all got very dangerous in the mid 70’s onward & I vividly remember the antics at the Royal archer. Those 82ers were brave to even try to take it over and I saw some truly crazy things, things that I think most wouldn’t believe

By Christmas all the critics will be singing a different tune - believe me the future is bright I'll get back to you when I hear Santa's sleigh-bells :-) Would like to be eating humble pie, but I doubt it. fanatical. Would you like to wait til Christmas to update this thread? Or will Halloween suffice?

Don’t get me wrong, I hope I’m wrong but losing can, like most things, become a habit. I think we need the owners to give some sort of updates, of any kind. The silence is deafening and the uncertainty is not helping. If the rumours are untrue then just say so, we can all stop thinking that some white knight will ride to our aid. One thing is certain, El Presidente and whomever makes up the rest of the board ( does anyone know]?, are certainly not helping things. Quite the opposite infact. Hope you are well & happy as I’ve not seen you post in a good while

must admit, I enjoyed the 'Greebo' bit to. Takes you back... Greasers is another my brothers used to used and I got used to saying that as one of my brothers used to play Emerson, Lake and Palmers brain salad surgery album and it had a track on there that I think Benny the bouncer. I can still sing it word for word after all these years.

He was the guy I outed yesterday on other Forum.
Then they removed his name and warned me.
I can live with the ignominy.
As I said and as demonstrated by DC, the gloves are off.
Bring out your dead..
