we started with leadbitter, sercombe, bennett, nichols and payne. Danny tries but produces nothing in the opposition half, Nichols would have been less of a problem to us yesterday if he was wearing a Southend shirt, so they had had the liability and we had 10 players. I was pointing out that we had plenty of attack minded players on the pitch. I thought nichols was trying hard yesterday but he simply wasnt a goal threat as usual. I believe danny has been a good player for the club but his final ball is often not good enough, cant argue with that.

Very little created for the front two yet Nichols cops more stick again. Should have scored in the first half but nothing created from when Sercombe went off. All that said Reilly deserves a chance to show what he can do. Poor as a team yesterday, lost our way when Sercombe got injured.

we started with leadbitter, sercombe, bennett, nichols and payne. Exactly, I’m glad you agree with me. Just 5. And leadbetter only in by default. Goodness, Craig at left back. Both similar Clarke and Upson in midfield, where one of those berths should have been Sercombe. But lets try some positivity in this situation. How about a 3 5 2 with Rodders and Bennet as the wing backs? Hardly more crazy than Darren Anderton as wing back in a Xmas tree? It gives two up top, two in middle, AND someone roaming the hole behind the front two, Matthews preferably, ide like Sercombe in there, I even think Nicholls could do that hole thing very well. (Please no bad taste jokes). If you are starting both Ollie and Upson, it would be better in a 3 5 2. With a centre back either side of him Broadbent could go on one of his Harrymaguieresque surges. Its not just your Emperor loves a 3 5 2, I actually think we have players ideal for it. .Personally i dont like 3-5-2 at all and why shackle attacking wide players with the wing-back burden? Only danny leadbitter and the unfit tariq-holmes can play wing back of the players we have imo. I dont think our problems are about formations though i do believe the manager needs to abandon changing his chosen set up during games and game to game at least until the new players settle in. The players lacked mental courage to get on the ball and express themselves on saturday just like they did v accrington, for me thats the problem right now.

Nichols gets stick because he was literally standing still with team mates screaming at him to get involved. Bye Tom.

Saying we lost our way when Sercs went off is interesting. Why was that? For many he was out of position playing wide, he set up one chance. So was it him going off or the changes being made. Bennett was quiet switching to left. Rodman one run on the right.
Yes we lost our way, am just not fully seeing why.

It's not why we lost, but Southend were a disgrace, throwing themselves around screaming, one blatant dive to try to win a penalty, that's a yellow card, but no, not according to Ross Joyce. We've had trouble with this clown before. It just shows; A. the type of personality the job seems to attract, B. That the League clearly can't recruit competent people. But as always, the report will say that he did a good job. Here you go, this will give some idea of how hopeless this bloke is. Women's football is played the right way, crowds mingle, it's mostly good natured, until Joyce gets involved, When both sets of supporters, at a Women's match, react that way, you can be pretty sure that the ref should probably be considering another career. He's the clown who ruined our away games at Blackburn and Fleetwood last year with his utter incompetence. A total fool who should never be allowed to referee a game again. Such language from a lady 🤭 I’m not saying your wrong.
