18 shots await from home....some promise? I thought so. We lost but not with a hammering some predicted.

Was it really any surprise we failed to win our first match of the season at Peterborough this afternoon. Only in 2004 Mansfield away 2-0 & 2011 AFC Wimbledon 3-2 have we won

Now it's the first game of the season, there is a team somewhere inside the squad (plus a couple of strikers). Time was tables were not published 'til after 5 games and that is when we will get a better picture of where we are.

I’m not defending Nichols, just saying only his shots needed saving until Lockyer’s goal. Only going by bbc live text as on hols. Stats can be very misleading, they might have both been powder puff They weren't shots, more like back passes. We look like a team of midfielders passing it to each other in nice triangles but getting nowhere except in each other's way. No movement or threat up front whatsoever, and you can't win that many games when your only threat is set pieces. To be honest I can't see Nichols getting any better than this.

So..we didn't offer enough threat up front...no big surprise given the line up..set up to sneak a win if we don't concede. No big surprise number 2...goals conceded from crosses not defended..full backs not stopping them coming in..Craig and Lockyer not physical enough to defend them...more of last season's defensive issues. Hopefully get in a striker before deadline and a physical central defender or Broadbean given a chance

Not at all surprised to see him left out today. Plus side, the full backs today are merely second choice. Parts & Holmes Dennis to come in, plus the big man on Monday.

He’s like the cheating partner who just can’t help himself; how many chances does he get? I’ll give him a few more chances only because who else should we play instead ?

I hope that Radio Bristol find a replacement for Hamer as soon as possible,I wont be listening again if he is going to be with the commentator. Apart from constantly referring to Rovers as "us" he actually criticised DC's attacking style 'it has cost us points'. He also criticised players, 'Sercombe should have shot sooner'. I don't like the bloke he's a bulls**tter but listening to him waffling on yesterday was worse than the result.

where's Sammy Igoe when you need him? At the newsagents getting his fags. 👍 When he first joined the club he tried to claim for a few packs as part of his moving home allowance. 😂 blimey!

The 'Poshies' (really?) are already talking about promotion on their forum and about grinding out results.
They sound similar to 1982. They don't like the manager either

I don't understand why Keith Brookman can't continue to co commentate assuming he's still up for it? He was interesting.

Let's not get excited or too annoyed after one game. We build ourselves up only to be disappointed.
Match day one last season Blackburn and Rotherham both lost and went up. Plymouth lost 2-1 to Peterborough.
