Billericay chairman is apoplectic after Craig pulled out of the deal early this morning.said they shook hands on a deal and the paperwork was due to be signed this morning then he gats a call from Craigs agent to say deal is off. Shades of Clive platt So where is that reported? Is it possible the reference in the Tweet was to someone else, and even if it was him he was stupid making that tweet without a signed contract. Nail on head. The Billericay owner tweeted out that he's 'just signed a Millwall player who played 38 games for them last season'. Suddenly everyone online went nuts that it was Tony Craig (Even though TC played 58 times for them last season) but turns out it was a youngster whose gone there on a 90 day loan. I suspect Padstow jumped on the hype and panic train, but is now immersed in a mere saving face exercise.

I think the cryptic message probably refers to Calum Butcher who was at Millwall last season. Butcher was at mansfield Butcher joined Mansfield in August 2017 after being released by Millwall.

Reset your irony detector Padstow I think it has a fault ;-) Anyway how do you I am not an agent? You following me? (Thats a joke...) Seriously think this is an excellent signing. It appears to me that some want to do the club down whatever they do I keep hearing this line and it’s absolute rollox. Do you think going to games over 46 of my 54 years makes me, & other like me, want to watch or go to games in lower divisions or to see us fade into obscurity , really ? Next up is why don’t you ( they) eff off down to AG. Just because we see things differently and are led to believe it that way by the managers comments, doesn’t mean we want failure. It means we are worried and care. You wanted DC punished so I guess he comes under you broad sweeping statement too eh ? Honestly, I’m glad I just let this stuff go over my head now as, in the past, it would have made me stew. The only people, that I i see on here wanting us to fail, are the occasional ted who manages to slip through the net. We now know the club reads both forums so maybe we are making a small impact after all. If you are at the Tote end do tonight, I will buy you a pint 🍺.

So he's signed, taken official pictures at the club, been interviewed as a Bristol Rovers player and looking forward to playing for Bristol Rovers with his wealth of experience with Millwall. Anyone else want to insist Billericay Town have signed him? And more importantly can someone enlighten me as to who Robbie Ryan is? I genuinely have zero memory of this person. Got to admit, I’m a couple or three decades older than you and I just cannot remember him. He obviously didn’t make much of an impact BUT I didn’t go to Twerton every home game, more like one every 3. I only started doing Twerton regularly in the last 2 seasons there and because I got a lift there and back. Nope, can’t remember any Robbie Ryan either mate. Hopefully I shall see you and your dad today. I’m up for it today. Boots polished to a military standard and even tempted to put some old school clothes on, just for the Tote end drinks. Ben Sherman, Baracuta and Loake. I will see in an hour.

I got texts from my 2 Millwall friends that he had chosen Billericay so even they got it wrong. You can only go on what you’re told and, being human, we all err.

Bought with share scheme funds. Someone said he was going to be a legend for us. Sadly he wasn't but I think he probably tried his best.

Trying to look at the picture on the official website, anyone else think that the shadows of the stand show a setting sun as opposed rising one? That would mean it was sorted yesterday, but he must have had something last minute to consider. Have you considered a career in the Police forensics department?

To be honest I'm not surprised people might not remember him. He played 54 times and looked average 54 times. I don't remember him being particularly or good or offering anything special. If he hadn't been signed with higher expectations then I think he'd be almost entirely forgotten by most. He looked slightly past it with us more than anything else. About the only interesting thing about him is that the story at the time was that the reason he was signed was based on a recommendation from the Chief Scout's Son who had been reviewing the contract statuses of players on Championship Manager - which says quite a lot about our recruitment strategy at that particular time.....

His last goal for Millwall was scored against Rovers in our last game of last season the 4-3 win for the Lions to get them in the play offs. Welcome Tony Put the bunting away he has signed for billericay Hold the front page. Man talks sh*t on internet forum. An unequivocal statement of fact, that turned out not to be true. I do wonder if it will ever happen again?

Keep it up I will now start concentrating on not only the ellis thing if that is the way you want to play. As for the billericay statement the chairman of that club went public in the local press and radio to announce his scoop in signing tony craig from millwall. So maybe you should check your facts before spouting them/
I await your apology
