Agree with most of above post match dissection.
For me, my m o m was Tom Locks. Kept their handful number 10 quiet, checked their other fella with the gay hairstyle a few times, timely tackles and almost scored a bullet header but for a point blank save by keeps.
Him and Broadbean looked more assured and a strong a pairing as I've seen this season.
A good team performance, perfect tonic to a bad last week. A nice dedication by dc. Let's hope we build on our confidence for our next match up in Nottingham.

You ok you absolute weapon? serious question, hoping that it's worth the candle, (and sounding a bit Last Leg here)...is it ok to write the 'fella with the gay hairstyle'? I read it first time and wondered. It seems to me that hairstyles might be 'gay' (in the modern/homosexual sense)

But please elaborate chewy - these things aren't obvious to many

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being homosexual. Or flaunting it.
Chill.

serious question, hoping that it's worth the candle, (and sounding a bit Last Leg here)...is it ok to write the 'fella with the gay hairstyle'? It is a fair question, and I reckon we can have that conversation without behaving like duckheads. The playground derogatory use of 'gay' (which is already a euphemism) as a euphemism for 'crap' or 'stupid', or to express dislike or worse, is not acceptable to me. Whether knowingly or not, it perpetuates negative attitudes. However, the description of a hairstyle, or another characteristic, as 'gay' because one actually associates the thing described with gay style, if not insulting or derogatory; surely this is okay with most gay and straight folk. I expect a number of us can remember hairstyles we had in previous eras which looking back were quite quite gay. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being homosexual... That's a good start. But... Phew. Nailed it, Sir. Lovely.

I hadn't even thought of that. It's probably a bit modern for me. Ta for pointing it out though - it's very pertinent, I think

this was along the lines of what I was thinking - and wondering if others agree

I think it shows up the antagonism for what it is when you assume something is written in the negative narrative.
