Simply brilliant.
Look at those match stats, 24 attempts 16 on target, they are lucky it was only 6 by the sounds of it.

Wrexham away 25 April 1982 Westaway his debut with Slatter was his third apprearance, McCaffrey 36 apps Hughes 40plus
McCaffery played for Newcastle and Derby playing almost 100 games before joining Rovers in 1980, so not inexperienced. Thanks for that Bamber - so potentially our most inexperienced ever back 4 keep a clean sheet and our non-scoring strike force get 6 at SIXfields - What more can go wrong ?

Given we just scored 5 in the hour following his injury, not too concerned. May he recover well regardless! What I am concerned with is it's typical I'm in Portugal for the week and miss this bloody game haha. UTG!

Looking at the way he went off it look like a tweak rather than a pull or tear with both of those you don't put any weight on that leg so could be a couple of weeks

Clarke was a bit spiky In His post match interview. Must be peeved with the press over something.

13 shots, nine of which on target, including a penalty and we are only up one nil. Great we are winning but we really need to have a better conversion rate as most teams seem to score first chance they have against us Care to comment now lol. Great result

Just like to say - that was f******g great. I saw Reading 0-6 Gas about 20 years ago and now this... Happy days indeed. N'ton were crap but hard to pick a MOM with so many players at the top of their game. It's a great time to be a Gashead. A new back four?

The back 4 looked solid. Admittedly a little under pressure in the opening 20 minutes... but when Broadbent and Manayese got an understanding going - they looked very comfortable. Bola was very very very good. The work he did before the 6th goal was just sublime. Happy happy days.

Whilst (rightly so) most of the talk will be about the six goals; I think the defensive unit needs some massive praise. The fact that we're the top scorers in the division and only have a neutral goal difference shows how poor the defence have been this year.
I'd have personally gone Bola...Partington...Broadbent...Brown today so fair play to DC for taking a gamble on Rollin. I don't think Broadbent has let us down whenever he's played and for me he starts next week regardless of what system we employ.
TBF in the likely event that Bodin is out I think we'll go 3-5-2 anyway; DC generally likes that formation and I think the only reason we haven't seen much of it this season is because it doesn't really suit Billy.

Ok just got back after feed and watering..
Quote of the day: " It's kinda unbelievable, yet kinda not!"
I guess that pretty much sums it up! We missed many more chances to really have grabbed headlines of a massacre. And that's being generous.
To be fair, in some ways it's a long time coming. Some of the results certainly haven't reflected our performances.
Positives.. Sercombe. Just a threat everywhere. Glad he took his goal, made a great assist.
Ellis. Just couldn't handle him again. His headed goal, brilliant old fashioned centre forward type score. My m o m, but tbf there are many candidates.
Bola. For me an absolute revelation. Worthy replacement for Brown, hitting form ground running, brilliant assist with step overs and having his opponent in his pocket. That's just his attacking play! He can hold wingers down and today won everything. I listened to JFH on radio Northants, he was in a daze! A state of shock! Really had no answers to how to change the slump.....one thing he did say though, their right hand side dominated by our left.....marc bola, you've been indirectly praised, sir!
Lines. Brilliant as always. Unlucky not to score by hitting post.
Sweeny and Locks not missed.
Bodin. Hope he's ok. Got the ball rolling with first.
Cobblers fans with good fun singing banter after the 4/5/6 goals. The ones that were left, I mean! Exodus was hilarious, esp some poor sod whom slipped UP the hill on around 76mins!!!
Negatives.. What's a negative today?!
Bodin injury.
Nichols.....is he lj in disguise?
Stewards. Can't they determine what's over excitement enthusiasm, and what's sinister or malicious. Got the feeling they were itching to exert their authority and provoke something. Not saying we are perfect by any means, just all seems a bit silly.
So......a pretty much one sided game as last week. Two good performances v lowly, struggling clubs. Reminded me of Reading 6-0 away where every time we got the ball, we looked like scoring.
This is about as good as it gets, dc can't change a team that wins 6-0, can he?
A great day to be a GasHead!

A high quality problem for DC. Can you drop anyone after this result? N'ton were lucky it wasn't double figures.
