Sercombe / Clarke in centre mid should be OK. Not sure about Leads at all this season. Not sure about Moore this season. Or last season. Leads have a solid game? Moore looking his usual dangerous self? F8cking thought not. But I wasn't there - so correct me if I'm wrong. To be fair, we should have been 3 up by half-time. Everything but the goal as my mate said. Moore, Danny, Ellis, Nicholls, Billy and Sercombe had them all over the place. Second half, they knew how to play the wind and we didn't really wake up until it was too late. Just an off key night in my book and Oldham will climb up the table.

Fair enough. Bad day at the windy office then...

No, we did not play as if there was any wind. First half their keeper hit at least 3 balls that stopped in the wind and did not reach the halfway line. Each time they gained the ball. Smith did it once, they scored! First half how many shots did we try with the wind? One I think, from Smith! Not sure if we were playing 2 up top, huge distance between them all game so no scraps picked up. Too many players not wanting the ball or moving somewhere to get the ball. Heart got us back in the game.

A night of Earth, Wind and fire (well pretty cold actually) more Wet,Wet,Wet. Love was not all around as fans left in their droves after Oldham scored their third goal. Are we missing Sinclair and dare I say it Cristian Montano and Matty Taylor. Moore started brightly missed a sitter and faded badly. Subs Gaffers, Lines and Telford showed spirit but we were not physically capable of coping with Oldham number 9 Craig Davies. We have conceded 15 goals the most in League One except ironically Oldham who have conceded 16

Very niave to go chasing a winner when getting level with 5 minutes to go. A point was a good result given where we were with 10 to go. Far too open at the back and yet again we concede from a cross. A chance would have been created and we could have nicked it. No need to chase a winner So you haven't grasped DC's basic philosophy yet? ie go out to win all the time. It's got us back where we should be in three seasons which three other apparently good managers couldn't do. You'd think therefore he isn't totally stupid. I'll reserve judgment for much later in the season.

Sometimes it works - Walsall for example, down to 10 men and we score a winner due to our right back and more defensive midfielder being in the box!

Massive fan of the feast or famine reactions of Rovers supporters. Champions League on Saturday, Downs League on Tuesday. Last night was poor, proper s**te. That said I don't think it really deserves cataclysmic hyperbole voiced by many hysterical obscurantist dafties.

We lost because Oldham played the conditions better than we did. Not going to lose any sleep over this one. We need to get better and defending crosses and quickly though.

It's not just Rovers supporters, although with our recent history I think we can be forgiven for being a bit more bipolar than most!

Just try and enjoy the escapism and if not the pub.

Sometimes it works - Walsall for example, down to 10 men and we score a winner due to our right back and more defensive midfielder being in the box! And long may he continue to do so! I started watching in 1970. I always remember a relative who'd been to a WBA v Leeds U game then describing it as "like watching paint dry". That was the great maxim then - you start with 1 point; hang on to that. If you somehow get 2 (or 3 as it became), whoopee! Somewhere along the line football realised it was supposed to be an entertainment - people paid to watch something happen, something exciting. Kicking the likes of Best out of the game wasn't really enhancing the experience. DC is trying to implement that. Let's give him some support.

Just said a good bit of trivia, Oldham and Wolves goalkeepers have same initial and surname and are both wolves registered players. Keith missed a trick, they're both called John Ruddy but the Oldham one goes by the name Jack. that's got to be the basis for a tie-break question in a footy quiz one day?

just seen the highlights
he was given a lot of space for their 1st, but it didn't look a big concern and its hard to defend against a worldie poor keeping for their 2nd poor/tired defending for their 3rd
both of our goals looked high quality though. Gaffers lively on the highlights

I was hoping they'd include the incident at the death with the player lying on the ball. Seems odd they've left that out?
