Rovers down to ten men - Slocombe FFS Just hope we can hold onto the draw at least. Maybe even a cheeky winner would be nice. Why was Slocombe sent off, what did he do please ? Leadbitter sold him up the river with a poor back pass and he brought their player down outside the box. Unfortunately a clear red card. A great win though, in the circumstances. Well played Gas. |

This was the worst rovers performance I have witnessed in years at the mem overall it was dire.

There have been some shockers, today wasn't exactly free-flowing but it was a long way short of some of the dross served up under Graydon and Ward. You must have missed last year's farce against Charlton as well. I'm happy with what I saw today, we won, that's the object of the exercise, officials gave us nothing, 10 players for half hour and we come away with 3 points, if that doesn't make you happy it may be that a 3rd division football ground isn't where you need to be? |

We were outplayed by a very average team today for most of the match against Bradford we were outclassed by a very good team I can't see what there is to be happy about.

Created only a few chances today which is unlike us as we normally create alot more.
That said they didn't create much either for all their possession.
Backs to the wall defending today but conceding again from a cross is becoming a common theme.
We will play alot better and get beat but thats football.

Funny you say that as I was just reading a friend's Facebook post and he said the opposite Some FB people are waxing lyrical, not sure about what, apart from winning. We looked lightweight in the tackle like fairies on hot rocks. I'm not sure what the tactics were. We got an early goal, let them dictate play and paid for it with an equaliser. Leadbitter looked a bunch of nerves when he came on and his poor tackle led to the sending off. Okay, we won but we could easily have lost it. |

I just thought we lacked energy today especially in the 1st half.
The red card saved the game because the crowd got behind the team and the last half hour was full of drama.

Even with an extra player and a ref determined to do us no favours we did what we had to do. Why can't people just be happy that we, at last, have a squad of players prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when it's going against us? As for that little bloke, he looks good if you give him room and time on the ball, but if he played for us, the number of basic mistakes he made today, it wouldn't be long before we got fed up with him. There's a reason why he's marooned in the 3rd division. |
