Just back from a most entertaining game. Well worth my £10. A good run out for some younger players, and Telford and Broom (in particular) impressed.
They shaded the first half, and we didn't really deserve to go in 2-1 up. Their goal was down to sloppy defending from a corner. 2 v 1 on the far post, the ball was knocked back and the final header was unchallenged. There was almost a mirror image a few minutes later with a cross from the other wing. Telford took both his goals beautifully - skilful footwork for the first, a good header for the second. We did a job on them in the second half. Sercombe scored from a good shot from 15 yards out, followed by 2 identical knock ins at the far post by Broom (each from a yard out).
Whether you agree with the competition or not, I reckon that Darrell will have learned some things about the players he put out tonight. Mostly good, I think.

Menayese, Russe and Hargreaves all on the pitch KB, like me, keeps wanting to say Mayonnaise. Let's hope he does so well that we'll all know his name MS did the same in his post match interview No DC again?

I'm not happy about the competition, but given that we've got to be in it that's very nice to read thanks Wreckless

MS did the same in his post match interview No DC again? Sharing out the media duties this season, according to Rad Bris. Team captain does pre match, MS does post match.

PCH was a complete non-entity, JJ did alright for us but is remembered unfondly for some comments about joining a big club he made when he signed for mighty Oldham. He's gone on to have a good career though, fair play to him. didn't know that about JJ. Didn't think he'd do that well either - so agree fair play to him When JJ signed for us by pure chance I was there, when the season ended asked him some questions and all seemed good, next season he seemed distanced, as if he knew already he did not want to be with us, to be honest once he had his contract was looking for his next big move.....

Is if not more likely he was in the final year of his contract and knew he'd be on his way?

I quite like it. The media demand on managers is quite excessive, most interviews are bland, full of soundbites and there's a reluctance to even partake in them. Give the interview to the coach or the assistant and he'll at least give an interpretation of the game's events. DC will be concentrating on any last minute transfer possibilities. Joe Ledley is a shout, also Hiram Boatang is not doing anything this season!

Yes perhaps but I'm past telling others what to do and don't like to see gasheads getting grief for supporting their team. TBH this argument will run and run and if we keep trading insults then I feel we're insulting the wrong people. Now, the EFL that would be different! And of course the clubs agreed it, or some did. UTG! I've not insulted anyone, I just think the entire competition should have an attendance of 0 so the EFL would take notice. No, you haven't. It wasn't you I was referring to. Your posts have been fine, I agree with what you've said about this and I don't think that youve insulted anyone. I hate what they've done to this competition like you and if we could get a 0 attendance that would be fine. My point about this is we all make our individual decisions about attending or not and that's fine. I just don't like to see some people attacking others for spending time and money supporting the team we all love. It's an individual decision made by individuals that we should respect. UTG!

Signing Joe Ledley on a free in League One would be one of the best pieces of business in all of English football this window. It's bizarre he's yet to find a club for this season, still got a fair few years to give at 30. Alas, sadly his wage would likely be beyond our budget...

I guess if he's wanting to be close to Cardiff then he could be a signing similar in context to Easter. He (or his agent) hasn't long to sort out something if he is to play in the English football league this side of Chrissy

Out of respect to his many years of Service to the club let no-one ever again refer to Marcus as an ass manager

"The training ground will need a hell of a lot of developing". That one sentence says a fair bit without giving anything away. Seems we could be in for a long wait for future development. And also saying we don't have the budget of the top 6. Very interesting indeed. He seems to really want to get us success but knows we can't sustain it in the situation we are in

He seems to really want to get us success but knows we can't sustain it in the situation we are in I guess that would be the same for any manager though and the club itself whoever the manager or owners were. A training ground/academy wasnt even a thought at the club just over 18 months ago
