Apparently going to be a long season if Ellis keeps playing lads.
WCG's piss must be boiling tonight.

Good grief, what a game! Not sure a single Rovers player did much wrong today. We made them look stupid in the first half and apart from 20 minutes, did the same second half. Partington, Sercombe, Captain Marvel, Chrissy Boy, Ollie, Tom N and Gaffney were mint. Ellis? Get in there son. You shut the closet racists up. Top man. UTG. We're on our way.

I thought it was a very tight and tense game but we scored the goals at the right time and deserved to win. most of the team played well with gaffney and bodin the pick of our players for me.

It was a competent performance. Sweeney's distribution was poor at times but apart from the ten minute period after they scored, Fleetwood were pretty impotent as defensively we looked pretty good (apart from the odd wobble). Sinclair's goal was well worked and Bodin's sheer class. Glad Ellis came on to score to ensure all three points. We have a reasonably strong side but time will tell if it is strong enough to compete at the business end. One or two more signings, like a wide player to replace Monty would be great but I doubt we will get them now.
Still, the table looks a lot better than it did just over a week ago! 😁

One of the best sides in league one beaten. Their players numbers 3 Bell 6 Pond 8 Dempsey 11 Grant 22 Hunter and 44 Cole were superb and caused us problems throughout.
Our new signings Sercombe and Slocombe both did particularly well. Also Lines who I guess was not happy being dropped did well after coming on as did all the subs.
That was an unexpected win. Three in a week and pleasing to score three times. We just have to hold onto Bodin who clearly is Championship class already.

Uwe Rosler reckons that Fleetwood were on top for most of the game. Probably in the same way we were on top against Peterborough? He's lost the plot.

On top = giving Slocombe plenty of catching practice. As one sided and comfortable a first half as you'll ever see. Clearly he's talking s**te again, trying to pull a fast one with the majority of FTFC supporters as there were only 91 of the 'Cod Army'? In attendance. Absolute muppet.
