Once again can i just remind fans that The Bristol Rovers Independent Supporters Association are holding a meeting at the Mem Clubhouse on Wed 30th July 7 pm - 9pm.
The meeting will give everyone a chance to see the faces that have set up BRISA (poor you!) A chance to have an input into the way forward for BRISA To air your ideas and /or concerns about all matters BRFC related and a chance to offer your help and possible join a comitee/panel that will take BRISA onwards
We are today going to invite someone from the club to come and speak at the meeting although this is down to the indidviduals as to wether they feel its right for them to do so. I can say that BSS did say that he felt he could not attend the meeting due to his role with the official SC.
If you are coming along we would like as many people as possible to bring a long a simple idea that they think can help improve something about our club be it a ticketing idea, fundrasing, PR or something else , all we ask is that the idea is realistic and fair.
WE need as many people at this event as possible , the club will be sure to be watching this meeting closely and the niumber of people present will have a big say in how seriously BRISA will be taken in the future so i urge you to please spare a few hours of your time for us and also spread the word .
Many thanks
**STOP PESS**
As an added bonus we have been donated a gift that we will give away to a lucky attendee at the meeting

Should the title read '30th of July' Lockleazer? Lockleazer is Kirsty and I claim my prize. NB you have actually raised one of the (big) issues for me; the number of very simple and unnecessary errors made in statements and news content from a professional company - Bristol Rovers Football Club.
I'm interested in finding out and understanding why there are so many errors. Is it down to an individual or is there something else perhaps a general culture? Having personally experienced a number of issues I'm thinking it is the latter.
In any event this is exactly the type of issue I would like people to bring with them but only if they can also bring a way of resolving the issue in a sensible practical way. If we have enough people give us their experiences we might be able to help in a small way.
We are about:- - Being positive
- Constructive (small) ideas
- Realistic approach
- Questioning
- Earning respect
- Improvement
- Small steps...
The members will take BRISA forward in the direction they want it to go.
Please read the aims and objectives at - bristolroversisa.org/campaigns/ - if you like what you see please become a member, come to the meeting and help take the Association in the direction you would like to see it go.

Good luck to you all but it's a little difficult for me to get involved and I have already said why I won't be joining.

Whilst I totally agree with your comment we are not a professional football club. We are simple, ordinary fans/supporters who want something better, putting our heads above the parapet and giving our time to try to achieve that. We have no political agenda. Spellcheck is not always practical if you are working from a mobile phone.
If you like the aims and objectives become a member and see if you can help us take this in the direction you think it needs to go. There is no doubt that some sort of fan/supporter representation, other than the Supporters Club, is needed.

We have been given the offer of a shirt from a member. What better way than giving it back to members? We cannot use it for fundraising as we do not at present have the appropriate licenses in place. Shall I keep it for my own use? Now that would be corrupt!
Come along and see what we are about. Talk is good...
And please keep posting on this thread as it keeps it near the top for others to see. Go on tell me I shouldn't start a sentence with "And".
