Millwall and Southend have lost (in spite of scoring in the 97th minute)
Rochdale have won
we're still 4 points and 10 goal differences behind Millwall

Good performances by the fringe players Harris, Partington and Broom today.
Bodin looked lively an instinctive strike by Ellis who did better in his defensive duties to be honest especially the last ditch tackle.
Another clean sheet for Lumley who made a superb point blank save.
Just 15 goals scored in the 15 matches since the departure of our leading goalscorer. Would he have made the difference to ease us into the play offs ...we shall never know.
Why no DC after match interview ? Sent Marcus out who said if our strikers don't play well or fail to score, we have many other strikers who can come in and replace them ! Like who may I ask ?

A low tempo match that played out like both teams have nothing to play for apart from pride.
We've had a fab couple of years, exciting end to seasons, let's just see what happens eh? I'm ultra skeptical..
My observations... Ellis my m o m....goal apart, I thought he put in a shift as lone striker. After his well taken goal, whom was the fella tracking back to intercept just as their guy was about to pull trigger? Ellis.. Head on most things, shame couldn't direct ball onto other targets more regularly. Woeful ball in second half which was neither shot nor cross nor pass.
LJ bye bye. I did give him credit before for his work rate. Time has been given and the fella hasn't delivered. Fair enough. He won't play next week as it's against his parent club, if we need anything the week after, I just don't see he's the boy to get us a goal let alone a couple we may need v millwall. Albeit hypothetical, the dream is sure to be over by Saturday night.
Locks another competent display.
Crowd quiet again for over 9000. Maybe we just want the summer holidays to come?
DC interesting choice of start up. Still experimenting 44league matches in. It's fine, for me, my trust is inlaid.
Pitch still looks prime. Great work behind the scenes as our regular groundsman left a few weeks ago.
Penultimate match ended with a result to be expected, but a far from convincing performance. Alot of our team look like they're happy on wind down. I can't complain, I've got my rovers back in the confines of a nice snugly, comfortable, cosy 3rd division top 10 finish.
It's exactly what we've wanted for most this century isn't it?
Well, then...

Agreed regarding Ellis, but who looked like they're on wind down? I didn't see anyone not putting in a proper shift!

.....& how is it "sure" to be over next Saturday - many twists & turns possible - hope the players dont give up as readily as some supporters.

One win from either Southend or Millwall and it's curtains. That's not forgetting we have to beat Peterborough away. We'll see..

Think the whole tempo was like a training match, typical end of season style and feeling. It was just a slow game, I don't think the time of the season had a lot to do with it. Oldham were here for a point, same as they would've been in August.
