That's the third first-minute goal in the last few weeks, I can't remember the last one before that.

SKY and the BBC know that BODIN at the moment is the only player that scores for Bristol rovers that's how bad our strikers have been.

That's not fair. Planks are useful.

Great win and decent scores involving the teams around us, in rovers view.
And another clean sheet!!

Best season since Holloway was manager, with 4 games to go. Incredible.

That's also our third double against the other three promoted teams from last year which is another measure of the improvement we are seeing.

Just in case people are heading straight to AFC Wimbledon - looks like the bars are not open for away supporters. There aren't any pubs within a mile of the ground. Rovers to win 2-1. Hoping to break my run of being in the 'home end' and always seeing us lose. Which from memory is Fulham, Northampton, Kidderminster, Bournemouth & Chelsea. That really is 5h1t. If it were me I'd chance it. Apart from our accent, they can't tell the difference between us. Silly buggers are missing out on income I imagine they need. Our PR guys ( if we have any)? Really need to up their game and not just allow hollow accusations to be hurled at us, unanswered. We still don't seem to have done anything about that since the game against the 82. To be fair to Wimbledon the game was a sell out, or very close, so their bars would be at capacity with home supporters anyway. And it's exactly what we do as there is a No Away Supporters sign at the entrance to the Supporters Club at The Mem.

And it's exactly what we do as there is a No Away Supporters sign at the entrance to the Supporters Club at The Mem. The main supporters bar was far from full, about half, I would say. They were checking for home tickets on the door, I walked close to a guy with a ticket and said,"I'm with him" and got through at about 2. The bar was quiet and getting served was the easiest ever for me. The burger van's queue outside was also short. The bouncers on the main entrance to the ground said there had been trouble in the bar, but there were no stewards or cops outside.

I doubt they did so I suspect it may be some sort of league record, According to Wikipedia, up to now the earliest time that a goal was scored in a 1-0 win was 12 seconds.
Ian Bogie: Port Vale v Stoke 1996 Stevan Racic: Partizani Tirani v Elbasini 2014
If true (big if, I know), yesterday would represent the longest period for which a 1-0 lead has been successfully defended!!

Really a match to forget apart from the obvious.
No one was thrilled by a captivating end to end encounter.
But......what a brilliant record to achieve so you can say you were there! What a fabulously sun lavished terrace (or stand) to watch it from to get you acclimatised to Portugal! What a great 3points to close up on two south east teams!
My observations.. Ellis put in a shift. He's obviously worked on his timing of jumps for headers. I would say he was my offensively m o m. Put bodin through in second half with another flick. Set up the goal. A great comeback match.
Lumley again proves how important it is to have a goalkeeper! Always seems to be positioned precisely. Decisive when he comes out for the ball. Rarely makes mistakes and inspires confidence. My defensive m o m.
Sweeney/Locks combo worked its socks off v a lively Lyle-Taylor. He's a decent advocate and test. I thought it was hilarious we shouted WHOOOOOSH when Locks picked out Ellis (because of his notoriously poor distribution), only for Ellis to assist Moore! Ardley eat your heart out....selling Locks down the over a few years ago saying he wouldn't make it, now provides the assist to the assist to win the match! Ha!
Leads I hope can recover. Seeing him leave the pitch without weight bearing his leg was a blow. Especially under the circumstances - the advertising hoarding never even received a card!
Imo, we miss Ollie Clarke. Lines just doesn't play as well. I like Sincs, but his blend of midfield play looks like a square peg when paired up with Lines. It does work, just not as well as a well Ollied machine.
Not a Luke James game. Wombles too big and physical. Maybe the same v Gills.
So we are in the stage of season where results are what's needed to keep dreams alive. Someone put 'make us dream' once.....well we still can! And just like yesterday, they become very forgettable! UptheGas..
