Did Sinclair play centrally between midfield and the striker, at number 10 if you will? Yes he did,it clearly unsettled oxford especially in the 1st half, they found it difficult to play their way out from the back and ended up lumping balls forward which either ran out for goal kicks or were easily dealt with by sweeney and lockyer.

According to Radio Oxford Sinclair played in front of the back four, breaking up play and laying the ball off. He helped out on both the left and right flanks, made bursting runs into attack and made critical blocks in defence. He didn't help out Lumley at all though. Lazy f*cker.

Great result, could we be on another late run to the playoffs? We win promotion at a sold out Wembley and the 82's relegated... it's the stuff of dreams. UTG And if swindle get relegated too that'll just be the hundreds of thousands sprinkle on the existing cherry topped cake!!

Give the Oxford forum a look if you have 10mins to waste. The matchday thread is a laugh riot, proper thread of two halves! Early predictions of an easy 2/3 goal win. Quickly followed by views of 'we were shocking/awful/abysmal' etc....job done Gas!

The conclusion I draw is that yesterday his starting position was in front of OC and Lines (like against swindle). It's just with his unbelievable level of fitness and commitment he plays that role and covers every other blade of grass on the pitch. He would be the first name on my teamsheet. He is the heartbeat of this resurgent Rovers side. Rovers legend. UTG.

I have had a lot of reds say Tomlin missed on purpose and my reaction, until I saw this, was no way but now I've seen it and his non reaction, I question it myself. Seems squeaky has lost the players

So very pleased and happy for Sincs. His dream was to play pro football and it seems not only has he stood up to being a pro but maybe he now has found a position where his boundless energy, elan and spirit can shine. We have still got many detractors of his game, sad to say, but the guy has had so many away teams big him up as the player who stood out, even Chelsea ! The beard is the man

The beard is the man The man is just as brill off the pitch as he is on. Always willing to give the fans time, is more than happy to conduct community projects, always shows interest in Gas projects. He loves his off field duties, it's not a chore to him. He's a manager's dream. Top man. Top bloke. A gas legend already.

Seems squeaky has lost the players And did you notice snake remonstrate with him as he turned & walked away? And Tomlin give him an airy dismissive wave in reply? Welcome to the bigtime Matthew!!

I'd love it if SS saw this one. Elan, dear boy, ELAN. ... if I've got it wrong ... Quite the opposite, my dear chap. I was merely repeating that particular choice of vocabulary. In concurrence, and in approval. Elan. It is a fine word befitting of the player.
