Re: Twas on a Tuesday night the gas man came to call, Bristol (H) 28/02/17 - KO 8pm Quote Post by officer_dibble » Tue Feb 28, 2017 10:13 pm
On reflection a points a great result given they have had one off the line, one roll across the line, missed an open goal...
This doesnt feel like a season which will end in promotion. Whether its injuries, selling players, not loaning ameobi back, whatever we have played well omce this year. We've had some horrendous lick - you take the players we are missing out of any squad and they wont win as many games. feck s**tter. I am annoyed at them subs but Spearing injured and that right backs first game for 9 months. What do you do if you are Parky?
Sounds like Long was a numpty in getting sent off! Spearing was a complete tit getting banned! Now Vela is out for two games as well - could be an 'axis' of Derik and feck trotter on Saturday! feck s**te!

Just back.
Beyond the first 5 or 10 mins we absolutely mullered them. Very secure at back. Corner after corner. Really really enjoyed that game and I suspect most gasheads there did as well. We have a very good team. If just one of a few scrambles went in would have been all 3 points. Unimpressed by Bolton.
The ref was awful. Not a homer just awful. Nice stadium could imagine went full really great atmosphere. Great away support good atmosphere in our end.

Just back home (also manchester) and that was phenomenal.
I was sat on my hands in the home end and the groans / abuse Monty and J Clarke caused on the touchline was hilarious.
Everyone around me was just bigging us up and saying that we were by far the better team.
DC's tactics for disarming bolton clearly worked as they got very frustrated. The referee was awful and played into our hands by stopping the game all the time for no reason.
Points-wise it might seem like a dull february, but performances and opposition... that's been absolutely spot on! Roll on our run-in...
Gas were LOUD at the end.

Just got home. (Not from Bolton).
Turned to this thread to get the result. And a match commentary. In a sense.
It sounds like we were worthy. Which is good.
And poems don't need to rhyme. But this style might be a one off. For me.

#bwfc (@bwfctalk) 28/02/2017, 22:37 By the way the scruffy little sod for @official_BRFC number 24 who looked like catweasle - best player on the pitch bar none #bwfc
Who can they mean? Fair play, the #bwfc tag is very complimentary.

Feel sorry for the supporters who traveled tonight for an expensive away day, Harrison up front and James Clarke at left back, must be thinking they could have wasted there money on something else. Do you stand by that? Everyone that went seems to have had a lovely time.
