Moronic back pass from Ellis five yards into their half! What an idiot. We were comfortable at one nil. DC must have ripped him a new one. Sincs had strong words as we prepared to re start. Frustrating. I can only go off the body language, but I think the strong words from Sincs were along the lines of: "Draw a line under the mistake. Forget it. Put yourself about and try to get the winner".

Mint game today. Best team along with Bradford at The Mem this season and we matched them... First half was ours, second was theirs. Really enjoyed that and guess what? A player made a mistake. Every player in our squad has done that this and every season since 1883. However, the guy in the stand behind us plebs who err...Stand, decided Ellis is a "spastic". Old guy who apparently is also a hideous racist. Never heard any of that today, but will happily get thrown out next game if I hear him say any s**t like that.
Rant over. Well done Gas and thank you Darrell for giving us our club back.

I'm struggling to remember us conceding a worse goal than today's. No blame on Lockyer at all but Ellis had an absolute moment. Overall a draw at as a fair result but to give up a goal like that was galling. I guess you weren't at Walsall then

I have no idea what was going on, someone obviously kidnapped the linesman due to perform in front of the East terrace and replaced him with someone who tried to be fair, didn't demand to be the centre of attention, wasn't 2 stone overweight and who knows and implements the offside rule.
Sat here both confused and worried, hope the incompetent official is found in time to ruin a game somewhere next weekend.

I wasn't there today. Sounds like a horrendous error from Ellis, and one he acknowledged. If he could play alongside a decent big striker, I'm pretty sure he would come good. (I don't think Gaffney is that man). One thing is for sure - getting on his back during the game isn't going to f******g help him. If people want to slag off their team of during the 90 minutes - plenty of space down at trashcan.

We must learn not to give away the ball so cheaply. Pleased to see Mildy back in the matchday squad and delighted with the home debut of Whispering Bob Harris who has a sweet left foot and can defend and attack. When he is match fit will seriously challenge Browner. Harrison, Gaffney and James were all poor in equal measure and dare I say it struggling to compete at this level. But the most improved player was one I have always doubted but has established himself now alongside Lines and that is Ollie Clarke. For me today unlike Sheff U and Bradford it was two points dropped.

It wasn't just the mistake, those things happen, it was one of those games where he just didn't really get going, he wasn't sharp and when that happens he looks lazy.

Having just watched the goal. Yes - horrendous ball from Ellis. Lockyer very slow to react initially. Then has plenty of time to get a decent tackle in. He doesn't, gets himself in a tangle and slots it past Lumley. Next up Bolton. Move on.

All very baffling!

Hopefully Gaffney will stay away from the left touchline. Hope it works with him and James up front. I like Ellis and he usually makes an impact off the bench. I'll go for 0-1 at HT, Ellis on and a final score of 1-1. Good shout though I feel the stupid mix up with the back pass gave the game away. It was a decent game just lacking anything in the front now.

James, Gaffney & Harrison would struggle in League 2, the quality of MT and the influence he had on the rest of the strikeforce was obvious to see. If it takes throwing away 3 points for Ellis to be released at the end of the season then i don't think it's been to bad a day. Its no surprise that this squad needs a massive overhaul and massive investment, it's just a shame that i can't see the owners pumping anything other than a small to medium amount of cash into things and hoping that all the magic comes from the manager again. I've got no problem with a mid table season this year, but you have to question the lack of money spent in January when we were in and around the play-offs along with the penny pinching back in the summer, it seems a really poor business decision. that's pretty much the exact opposite of what DC said in his pre-match interview

Should send James back now to Peterborough. If he was any good they wouldn't have loaned him out for a year.He hasn't scored yet and never looks likely too.

Someone said snake didn't score in his first 10. I've said I think we will see a lot of draws so let's hold off the lynch mob mentality Jusy yet eh

Maybe we should be 'thinking outside the box' re. Harrison's backpass. There was no Lee Brown there to tap it back to and he put too much weight on the ball making a pass he wouldn't normally have to.

Why didn't you take my bet then lad? Do own goals count? For me to win the bet Ellis will have to score FOR Rovers by the end of the season. £50 to charity, deal or no Deal??
