1-0 FT. 3 points in the bank and Goodnight Irene
the Home run continues. Can the new defence turn around the away form?

God only knows how we didnt win by more goals, ollie clarke very unlucky not to score. Clever tactic to play sinclair at the front of the midfield diamond as it stopped swindon playing out from the back and thats the only way they seem to be able to play.

Clapped fans in return as did all three that were subbed. not the beards greatest fan, but he ran like I don't think I've seen any other pro. Amazing engine. Weird game, Swindon desperate to pass it around at the back. We should have been 2-3 up at ht, a couple of incredible misses/saves. Ollie excellent again, it was him who hit the bar with a super strike.

Sweeny fantastic , dominated our defence aerially, he has a sweet left foot too, good passing out from defence.

It was indeed effective. I think that's a great niche Sincs seemed to have found as it stops any creative play before it's started. It even created some force errors. Anyone whom thinks Sincs isn't up to it must rethink as it suits his style of play and he's got a great engine to carry it off. Great coaching..

Seems MT waved to all 4 sides of the ground as he was subbed.....was he waving good-by? If someone doesn't want to play for us anymore, then bye bye.. The real star of the show was Bodin and his strike. Maybe today he had extra incentive, but last week at Walsall he started opening his bag of tricks. He's a magician and exactly the sort of player we need to keep.

Must admit a superb goal to win any game by Bodin. Promising home debuts for Lumley & Sweeney. Puzzled why Bodin,Harrison & Taylor were replaced by three poor replacements in Gaffney, Moore and James. All three weakened the side and goal threats from them were pretty non existent.
Delighted with two hard working performances by Clarke and Sinclair. A rare clean sheet but first half chances needed to be taken to ensure amore comfortable three points.

A sample of an opposing fans' view from The Town End site:
*spoiler alert....not happy bunny*
We were total f**king s**te. The first half was an embarrassment and Rovers should have had the game in the bag. The second half was marginally better. Some Town fans summed it up well afterwards when they told the Rovwrs fans they were f**king s**t as they only beat us 1 0. No player other than Vigs can be happy with their performance. Fruz offers us as much as a traffic cone but possibly with less effort - exactly the type of player we don;t need. None of the players appeared to give a flying f**k. Tactically we were inept as well. We played so narrow that Rovers could run down the wings at will. Then theyd bang the long cross to the back post and we were clueless. Colkett, Gladwin and Goddard were total toss. Norris may as well have stayed in bed. The movement was non existent, the effort non existent and we could have been there all night and not scored. We are f**ked. Most of the players would get away without having a shower afterwards, such was their total apathy. They were going through the motions waiting for something to happen. I met up with a couple of mates afterwards who were Rovers and they said we were total s**te as well. Not nice to hear a pub full of Rovers all laughing at how s**t we were. I am absolutely dreading Sunday. The players have obviously given up. They and Williams all need to f**k off bar Vigs and we need to start again.
Hahaha! Bout sums it up! Also....best song of year so far: Today. Thatcher's End. He wants to come back, he wants to come back, Charlie Colkett, he wants to come back!

I agree during the first half Swindon were completely overrun. But I felt the second half was about even and the 1-0 scoreline didn't feel comfortable at all. Obviously we had our moments, especially when Sinclair forced defenders and goalie into errors but Swindon did look dangerous on the wings and with better crossing we might have been in trouble.

Swindle were the worst side down here all season. 1-0 massively flattered them, we should have had five or six.
Colkett showed why DC scarcely picked him from November onwards. Currently nowhere near the required standard shown by Lines, Sinclair and Ollie.
Feel really sorry for Byron Moore. Things can only get better for him.

First half we really should have killed the game off. I am glad we didn't pay for not doing so. Swindon were very poor and although we never looked troubled at the back, there were times where we seemed to switch off and a better side might have punished us. Moore was dreadful when he came on and James just does not look like a footballer. Thesubs definitely made us poorer and let them back into the game more. Still, another three points is welcome. Hopefully we can start getting points on the road too, starting at Rochdale next week. 😀
