Disagree as I thought at half-time we were going to get walloped as we were there for the taking and Charlton took us. Once the first went in, there was only going to be one winner. We lost all form after that. The game has started promisingly but degenerated into a farce from our point of view in terms of our distribution, defending, goalkeeping, substitutions and just about anything else you care to mention.

If you make three early changes regularly enough, you will get caught out by an injury. I'm a bit alarmed that Darrell Clarke appeared not to realise that until tonight. I thought the line up was wrong, two of the substitutions were wrong, the performance of the substitutes was wrong, and Matty Taylor's finishing was all wrong. Other than that, it wasn't that bad. It shoulve been 2-2 at worst at half time, it wasn't, the third killed the game and the injury made it worse. 1-5 sends a message to the rest of the division, but its how we respond that is important. Felt for Gaffney, he can't buy a league goal at present and then the keeper robbed him of one. Stupid stupid rule to not punish a foul like that with a red card, but that is the rule and the ref got it right. Gaffney should have taken the penalty, he deserved a goal tonight. Can't agree about 2-2 at half time, they should have had at least 3.

We missed Two guilt edge chances at 0-0, ones that a striker of MT's calibre should be burying! And then....
A wicked deflection Lead's ball watching Free header from a corner Wicked deflection x2 As much time and space on the edge of the box you could wish for....
Went and sealed our fate. Really need to switch on again at the back this Saturday, onto Chesterfield we go!

Not sure those who get erect over 4-4-2 will be feeling so buoyant tonight. I can why DC does't like it, the simple fact is that Montano & Moore just aren't consistent enough and quickly becoming not good enough, i'd rather have Monkhouse & Gosling out there tonight. Time is running out for Roos, was really pleased when he was brought in, but his minutes to mistakes ratio is getting to the stage where the only option will be the signing of a new keeper in January. Watching Lockyer as captain reminds me of Parkes during that relegation season, Hartley needs to be given the armband for the rest of the season. Colkett has lost every bit of confidence as doesn't seem to have the personality to get it back, and ultimately i feel there's a dark cloud hanging over the club one i certainly hope is short term, i can't put my finger on what it is, but the silence from Box 1 at the moment is starting to bring back bad memories. Looks like large sections of the squad is going to need major surgery in the January window. Genuine question - Which goals were Roos' fault tonight? I'll give you a clue, it's the square root of feck all... Not being funny, but it's not a genuine question if you then go on to get all narky and answer it yourself, rudely. Just saying

I should have thought too, that management and coaching can coach defensive skills and organisation into good ball players more easily than to coach creative technique into good defenders who can't really play the ball. So get them on the training ground and drill them to defend the sorts of chances to which we've shipped those nine goals.

Bad night at the office for sure.wingers more than anyone else need a run of games, but some of the passing was awful. Didn't feel right from the off. Gaffers, lines locks and JCS had decent games, everyone else tried had off night. Charlton decent with good support for midweek. Decent side as well but could still have been 4-4 at half time! Let's get up to Chesterfield and get behind the gas. DC and the players have earnt a bad game or two. One more though......😉

Why did Charlton change their shirts?Surely their red would have been ok? Hope James Clarke is fit for Sat.Don't see MM lasting 90 minutes at this level.Chesterfied scored three away at MK Dons last night.Tough challenge but think Sat will be a real test but also a great opportunity to get back on track. We were great at Oldham only a few weeks ago but despite our obvious defensive frailties we haven't scored from open play for yonks in the league. Think our keeper is better than Mildy or Puddy but very error prone. Not looking forward to Chesterfield.Neat new stadium which lacks atmosphere.

RadBris reckoned that the Addicks took their 2 chances, we didn't convert on 4 good ones - combination of post, goalie etc Exactly right. They hit their chances home plus we had Roos have a mare again. Never seen a GK hand nutmegged before. He knew 3 of their goals were down to awful shot stopping. Needs sorting we had a great start and should have been at least 2 up but to see those long distance goals again and Roos placement, it makes for poor viewing indeed

We can discuss keepers all day long, but if the defence are playing like a down's league side (no offence to any of you out there) letting the oppo shoot on sight whilst giving them all the time in world, what chance has he got?! They say defending starts from the front, our defenders need to start getting close and shutting down as well. Tuesday night a golden example that we can't switch off for even a second. I just wonder how many more keepers we have to go through, before people realise our back line are going to be up against it this season? And some are clearly struggling in certain games.

@duduelebowski I feel his positioning was poor and Mildenhall may have had his weak points, all do, though he was still a good shot stopper and rarely saw many long distance efforts beat Mildy. I was at the game but it still makes for painful watching to see long range efforts go in. It's like time stops when you see them again. As for "massive " deflections, I think that's a bit of exaggeration but it is what it is I was chatting to a mate and we both think that regardless of Parker's condition, we seem to be missing him. I think we certainly need to beef up the MF and push up on our opponents much more quickly or at least try. They seemed to have all the time in the world when they had the ball. We lacked a lot in this game. We certainly don't seem to be playing like we are the home team and this changing of teams after the second half is very predictable now. Any manager/coach can read us now, IMO
