Robbed by one of the worst sides I've seen since Alfreton. Apart from the Roos mistake, everyone had a good game, Lockyer & Clarke-Salter have the potential to be the best centre half pairing in the league, Sinclair was a menace as usual, Gaffney nearly making himself ill with the amount of effort and desire he's putting in, he may not be a natural goalscorer but he's miles ahead of Ellis in playing the old fashioned number 9 role. Time to move on from Mildenhall, he's not going to play unless Roos is injured, all good keepers will go through a season making at least 5 or 6 bad errors. Mildy is as mobile as an oil tanker and Roos is far from the finished the article hence why he's in league 1, and like all other league 1 keepers will go through this season making mistakes, as long as he's wins us more points than he loses us then it's not going to be selection headache for DC. Agree with the keeper Stuff. Gaffers had a very good game, thought Sincs had one of his better games as well. Harrison didn't get going at all when he came on, but he is much better in the air than gaffney as far as that goes. We were just unlucky, they were strong as characters in the defence and sweeper and defensive midfield. How they won this is simply one of those things. We were robbed, I'd like to see one of our wed men for a game or two, or at least get one of them on. But saying this the full backs both did well today, particularly leads who was excellent.

I know we don't agree on much, but think you're very harsh on Posh! Looked like they had a mix of solid pros with nous and some pace and trickery thrown in for good measure. In the main looked to play out from the back and I was very impressed with Number 4 Bostwick, who I thought played the Sinclair role but with much more physicality and class. I thought it was a game that could've gone any one of the threes ways and it's just unfortunate it went the way we wanted the least. I think a lot of games have been like that this season and the fact we've won more than we've lost is a positive. I thought the full backs had their best game I've seen in this diamond formation, balancing attack and defence well. Lockyer was his usual terrier self, its the first time I've seen JCS and whilst he might not have Hartley's experience, agression and goal threat; he gives us pace and technical abillity at the back. I've been critical of having Clarke and Sinclair in the same team, but I thought they were both an asset today. Lines should be the pivotal player in this system with his freedom to make those driving runs, but I thought he was below par today. Colkett was quiet in the first half, but pure class in the second. Always wanting the ball and full of tricks and classy touches to get out of tight situations. Easter was excellent in doing a similar job to Colkett when he went on, but I would've been tempted to go with Moore instead to give us a bit of pace and variety. Obviously you've got to have a dig at Ellis, because you hate him despite the fact without his goals towards the end of the non-league season, we'd probably still be there, DC would be on the dole and Wael would've bought Gillingham. Admittedly he didn't do great today, but I've never understood this idea he's an impact player. I think it takes him a while to get into games, so I think his best role is to start but under the instructions that regardless of individual performance or the score at the time that he'll be playing circa 65 minutes and thus should work his balls off during that period. I like Gaffney, it would be impossible not to, but until his goalscoring record improves he's just not worth a place in the team because I don't think he improves Taylor game any more than Ellis or Easter would. Overall I'm not too down, a win would've seen us in a very healthy league position but if we continue playing football like that there is no doubt the good times will continue to roll.

Another knee op for mildly?
I'm still having nightmares about his comeback from the last one, Halifax away!

at times our passing and movement in the 2nd half was very high quality, leadbitter, brown, lines, sinclair, colkett, taylor and gaffney involved in some lovely passing sequences that had the posh desperately hanging on. of course through some luck and brave defending they did hang on but i was very impressed with our play today so not too down about the result

They were a piss poor team with no threat that didnt seem interested in winning. They looked looked like a team.scared of going down and trying to take what they could and unfortunatley for us they absolutley nicked 3 points

I will agree at 1-1 they looked like they were very much settling for a draw, but I thought at 0-0 they made every effort to win the game.

In a different day, we'd have been 3 up and cruising. Robbed. As for the criticism of Roos, he made a couple of great stops and released the ball quickly. Mildenhall seems to be talked about as if he's the reincarnation of Gordon Banks. He ain't.

Our corners are improving, we had 8 yesterday but no real target man without Hartley for example; they had the typical L1 or L2 blunt two or three brick outhouses at the back. Ellis put the ball a yard over from a header once, but most of the time, after coming on, he was physically being held down by their big defenders.

Both goals were very poor from our point of view. The official site match report completely glossed over Roos' clanger. Peterborough came for the draw and robbed us but there again, we have had more than our fair share of late goals to win or draw matches, so we can't really complain too much. The second goal was worrying for me as Locks caught out and nobody within five yards of the goal scorer in the six yard box. A win on Tuesday will put us back in the play-off positions and we can forget yesterday.
