Just got back. Poor start, terrible goal to concede and Leadbetter in particular looking very weak. We then started to put pressure on them and Lines hit the bar and we had one cleared off the line. Although we had a lot of corners first half, we never caused them any problems - missed Hartley. The second half started end to end with Taylor nearly scoring but for a good save. Ollie hit the inside of the post only for Gaffers to put the ball into the side netting wth the goal empty (though it was a tightish angle). Roos made an important save when the Swindon striker was one on one. If that had gone in, it would have been game over. Easter was the pick of the subs with his movement and play, this got us the penalty, which Taylor duly dispatched. From the kick-off Taylor win the ball and before we knew it, an own goal and within a minute a deficit was turned into a 2-1 lead. A great defensive header from James Clarke I think prevented a certain goal as the striker was bearing down ready to head into the net. Some silly bookings, particularly Harrison and Lockyear. Ref was far to pedantic and didn't give us much - other then the penalty for which he had no choice to give. Overall, a deserved victory and hopefully Mr Power choked at the result and low crowd.

Spot on in everything you've said! That was a bloody awesome win! So sweet to stick it to them. With the 'homer' ref and SO MANY chances wasted it was no less than we deserved, for a dominant second half showing! Roos one on one save on the 76th min when we were still 1-0 down was sheer class! Game changing stuff & second important stop in 2 games, that has had a big impact in the final score! Superb stuff.

I've just finished listening on GasPlayer, and that is how I heard it (so maybe RadBris did a good job)
I listened to the first 15 minutes and had to go out. I left the computer on and the Player playing. Got back an hour or so later and found out that I could pick up where I left off - listening as if it were live
I didn't know that was possible, but might be dead handy just occasionally. And especially on nights like tonight!

Only just realised looking at the league table that the only 2 league games we've lost this season have been to the teams in 1st and 2nd. A few people scoffed at this when mentioned earlier in the season, but the more the season goes on the more creditable the record seems. Mention it quietly, but I think we are finding our feet in this division and starting to play with more confidence.

Player in an offside position for Swindon's goal, could possibly have been adjudged interfering with play for stopping our defender from clearing the ball off the line...

Definitely didn't notice that last night but clear to see. Stood behind the last defender on the line & interfering with the keepers attempted save. Couldn't believe what I was seeing for the second goal, when we broke straight away. Still on a buzz from the equaliser & then that!! Straight from kick off, pure comedy.

See DC mentioned Ollie, Leads and Gaffers as having very good games.

Player in an offside position for Swindon's goal, could possibly have been adjudged interfering with play for stopping our defender from clearing the ball off the line... Now just by looking at the video footage, that's exactly what I thought. But my knowledge of the off-side law prevented me from pointing it out. It's very much like years and years ago I was wildly celebrating a Rovers ''goal,'' when the chap next to me pointed out that the goal had been disallowed because the player was adjudged to be in an off-side position. It quite took my confidence away, and whenever a goal is scored I automatically look at the linesman to see whether he raises his flag.

That was Ollie Clarke. I missed the first 15 minutes on the radio (just as well, by all accounts!) and after that it seemed like we dominated. Retained possession well, harried and chased to win the ball. The midfield three of Ollie Clarke, Lines and Sincs were mentioned heavily - OC especially in ball winning and setting the play going forward, and they gave him MoTM. I couldn't help but notice Colkett following up Matty's penalty, grabbing the ball, and racing back to the centre. That's the sort of thing you associate with teams still chasing a game. We were away from home and had just equalised - most teams would have been satisfied with that, and settled for a point. But no : we were well on top, bossing the game, had the momentum, hungry for a winner - what a great statement of intent.
