Taylors 54th goal in 108 appearances.
A 1 in 2 ratio, now that's impressive!

Great read, from the comments alone we may need a few more games to gel given the new recruits and different standard of football. Shame the s**t won again but they're firmly in our sight and capability as a club.

A fair result against a decent team. Everything we had going forward, Walsall were equal to.
A good advert for third division football, but yet again officials let themselves down with what looked a glaring penalty award ot given by Locks.
He done better <Lockyer> but his distribution still needs looking at.
Sincs m o m again (?) ....well, ok he didn't play bad. I personally thought Taylor ran well off the ball and led the line well going forward, a real handful. Him and Ellis are starting to find their link play. Bodin nice couple of efforts. Roos a bit more confident. Lines oozing class when he came on.
A good game, particularly in second half for us, we need time to settle and I'm sure we'll be ok..

Thought Moore had a decent game also. Noticeably he didn't fade as the game went on as wingers often do

I thought Bodin was no existent in the first half but increasingly influential in the second before coming off. The difference tonight was their Goalie, he made some really top draw saves.

I thought Etheridge made one top class save, from Bodin. The rest would've been saved by anyone, Etheridge just has a handy knack for making the routine look difficult.
He's a good keeper though.
I came away feeling less like two points were dropped than on Saturday, Walsall are better than Rochdale, and it was a good game. We need to start winning though, and I'm not sure where the next one is coming from.
I liked Byron Moore, especially his energy towards the end of the game.

Enjoyable game, two good teams playing good football, who would have thought 3 years ago we would be in league 1 now completely dominating a good team like Walsall in that second half, funnily enough today is the 3 year anniversary of that horror show away at Dagenham, we owe a huge debt to DC for the miracle that he has performed.
What i find exciting about this season is that in every game so far, we have had good spells where we look like we are only in 2nd gear, with plenty of gears left in us to go through. I think the first half of this season will certainly be a transition phase with plenty of rotation in formations and team selection, and as we have seen during the second half of the last couple of seasons, the team will settle down into a decent rhythm.

Walsall's goal scorer is 5ft 3in tall. He's the shortest player I've seen, I think.

At 5ft 3in he's exactly the samne height as Joe Haverty, but I couldn't find George Petherbridge's height anywhere.
Does anyone know it I wonder?
