You could have a long wait on your hands Again you say something as if you know more detail......so come on then?? In a recent interview with Wael (think it was a Points West one), He stated that "any" announcements about the UWE stadium will be made by the Parties Concerned... I took that as being from the UWE not us. Until the issue's with the UWE car park (AMP-2) are solved it could be a while before we get started on the thing

To be fair though, you said there would be an announcement last week. There wasn't. You've now said it will be sometime before we hear from the club. Which is it? did i say what the announcement was about ? No The question was "will there be an announcement this week" and i said "yes"Stupid question deserved a stupid answer.. The Announcement will be made by the UWE - Wael said that recently on a TV Interview We still have issues over the "AMP 2" i believe Not a stupid question or answer at all. It was on a thread about the UWE site. Think, without any other clarification, a direct link between the question and answer could be inferred.

They'll be chuffed you've stolen their thunder The news was being shared around readily enough at the Mem last night, most people won't believe it until it comes from the horses mouth so to speak anyway, still plenty of cynics out there who refuse to believe it until they are sat in it!

I wear my badge of cynicism with pride. However I'm sure we will get the new ground. To be honest after waiting decades - whether the announcement comes in a couple of weeks, or a couple of months - I don't care. I'll believe it when I sit in it. Though I would prefer to stand. UTG.

Its very easy to understand the cynicism, lets face it how many false dawns and empty promises have we had to put up with in the past, totally different gravy this time around though, the progression made behind the scenes since February is very impressive, listening to Chris Hargreaves on the iplayer from last night and it hits home just how professional our set up now is, very confident that the sound of heavy plant arriving from the MOD roundabout will be heard soon.

It's 5 years for plans surely? Plus I thought the training ground decision was delegated so not going in front of the committee. Sounds like he doesn't have a clue what he's on about so probably not worth putting much stock in what he says..... EDIT - Just finished listening. What a load of bloody waffle. Clearly doesn't know anything about the objection or the reason why so just talked a load of crap.

Leaving aside the need to slag the guy off, planning permission was for three years, but I thought had been extended to next year. As for the training ground , it is indeed fully delegated so won't go back to the committee.
I assume the reason he isn't up to speed on it is because it is not an issue for the full council, so I assumed he was trying to be helpful. Remember, he didn't know what questions he was going to be asked.
