Two years ago we were playing at Altrincham and travelling all that way on the morning of the game. They lost 6-0 at home to AFC Fylde last night and are now in the Conference North.Times have changed dramatically in the ensuing two years.To-night it's the Famous Bolton Wanderers with a 10,000 crowd likely.Wow,who would have believed that.Suspect Byron Moore will make his debut at some point this evening. Hope Monty and Jermaine show their class to-night and a win will be an announcement that the Gas are still on the up and up!!!!

The MINIMUM we are allowed is 10% so 4116. Clubs usually make more tickets available if they can be sold. The funniest thing was reading people thought it would t sell out. I don't think Mr Al Qadi had to go out of his way but, as usual, I could be wrong

it was that historic home record thing that killed it RadBris said Rovers played well, better than v Cardiff, especially 2nd half Bolton were physical and fast but never really created a lot. We got caught on the counter for the first goal after a bright start and we were knocked off our game. We got back in it second half and DC made some attacking subs. Bolton than resorted to falling down all the time. A decwnt showing from Rovers against a team that will probably be up there for various reasons this year. Ellis had a good game and a cracking finish from him. As for Parkinson, i'm glad thst whinging tosser isnt our manager. Every f**king decision. Chirp, chirp, chirp

We deserved a point for the second half performance.
Stella Madine is a Bolton player, not Tom Daley's stunt double or a place in southern Spain apparently. Cheating twat.

Bolton are this season's Northampton. Aim is promotion and will do what is needed to get there. Games like this need a good strong ref, not what we had tonight.

To give a ridicolous analogy we were like a snooker player potting plenty of cracking long reds, but never finishing nicely on a colour. We did lots of neat and tidy stuff but just couldn't knit it all together. Ellis and Leadbitter were two key examples of this. Frustrating to concede yet another goal from a player making a long run through the middle without anyone laying a glove on him and as soon as they got the second it was going to be an uphill task against a wiley team with plenty of higher level experience.
The 3-5-2 gives us some solidty, but really doesn't offer us much if we're chasing a game. To give him his dues he improved massively in the second half but I thought Sinclair looked massively out of his depth early on and took a nasty whack on the shoulder; personally I'd have taken him off, brought on Montano and gone 4-4-2 as soon as the Spearing's free kick hit the net. Easter coming on improved us massively and was probably our best player in the second half, but he was still guilty of doing some good things, but not completing the task. The only way I'd be happy with us playing 3-5-2 again would be to have as the most attacking midfielder in the system, with Clarke as the ball winner and Lines keeping things ticking over and occasionally making his mazy runs.
Nothing to hit the panic button about, even at 2-0 I never saw us getting the sorts of thrashings we got by Leeds, Southampton etc under Trolls; just think our lack of experience at this level showed a tad and eventhough they are mostly the same team that was an abomination last season; on paper Bolton have a team that should certainly be up there.

I certainly wouldn't have imagined last time we lost at home in the league that the next defeat would have been at the hands of Bolton! If we can follow that trend, maybe 1 or 2 more home defeats this season followed by a league defeat to Sunderland next season!

I thought we were beaten by a better side last night. Again, subs made difference when came on, but the initiative had already been lost and we were slow to react.
Does this mean dc got selection wrong in first place?
I'm willing to give benefit of doubt because of amount of marches in this cluster and form of players.
Matty first touch was class again. Bodin much improved.
I like seeing players going for it and being positive, so James Clarke trying shots and pushing forward (to me) is a good thing.
We lost it in first half and recovered second but just lacked that final all or cutting edge to finish some tidy approach play.
Great to see 9000 crowd in midweek.
All games now, we have ably competed with opposition for large parts of the respective games. Encouraging, but more work to do..

The formation and starting personnel didn't work, once they scored so quickly. It was exactly the same starting line up and tactic as Cardiff, but Bolton scored quickly and a stupid foul by J Clarke for the second. I totally believe in DC, he gets it right mostly, but last night it didn't work out as hoped. Bolton were very good and in the second half we were a much better looking side. I love the positive results, but there's a part of me that would have preferred to have lost last night by attacking throughout the game, not just when the formation changed. But hey Bolton are very good

'But hey Bolton are very good' for most of the first half agreed.
But in the second Rovers were head and shoulders above them.
Defininitely a game of two halves.
