More Burnley fans than most L2 ever bring. Should be in the quarters really and that's from someone who first watched us in Blue with white trim. Very good turn out and a few fans too Yes and the red and white striped away shirts with black shorts - think we played in those colours Everton away when we lost 1-0 in the cup with Joe Royle scoring the winner ?

Premiership quality strike by Taylor. Moore and James looked good signings. First half worked with Mansell as sweeper and thought Lawrence did well. Gosling and Lines enjoyed useful sub appearances.

Don't say Lawrence did well, moaners were on at him before he touched the ball.
But in my opinion you are correct, could not see much in him last season. There again there was space and time for him today. Can't play him and Lines together.

Taylors goal quite outstanding even in a friendly. Perhaps he should continue to train on his own

TBH looks a fair bit more. some for the club............ and a little less for the taxman I know it kind of makes me look like a conspiracy theorist but I remember, at Eastville, it certainly looked like we had gently massaged the attendances. I wouldn't mind had we spent the alleged extra income, to boost our squad.

Think the video shows enough empty spaces to say the figures may be correct

Think the video shows enough empty spaces to say the figures may be correct I think that West Ham brought more fans that we were given, officially as they were in other parts of the ground. I had a good chat with a fair few. They were good as gold and I ended up chatting about the Derby games V Villa in the 70's and talked about Ray Graydon and good ole Andy Lochead. They were vocal and decent guys and gals.

Taylors goal quite outstanding even in a friendly. still dripping with confidence He enjoyed the goal and went straight to the North stand and celebrated. I think both goals were pretty similar. For all the stick that I've given MT, he certainly has showed me the error of my ways. The way he turned his marker and cut inside just oozed class IMO

The best bit for me about Matty Taylor's goal wasn't the finish, good though it was. No it was the control he showed on collecting the ball, and the way he turned the Villa (or WHU, who knows?) defender before setting off on his run towards goal.
I think it's fair to say that based purely on those few seconds, he's hit the ground running . . . which I for one wasn't expecting.
