Club webpage just announced it. The article doesn't mention the length but I'm pretty sure it's a 1-year deal.
I, for one, like it. We need pace and flair up front even if it has to come from the bench during the second half, and all the better if it is from one of our scholars. Also, look how young people do grow; in John Ward days, training-skipper Harrison would probably be the first one to jump ship... and now he's swearing allegiance to us even though he's a clear backup striker.

That's an interesting decision by Ellis - I thought he would probably be one to go. I actually thought he'd probably want to go and become 1st choice somewhere else. Maybe he's backing himself to force his way into the team at the higher level.

Great news. If we were signing a bright pacey skilful striker with potential from another club we would be well pleased. So IMHO this is brilliant news that Ellis stayed.

Everyone will be staying bar Matty Taylor and of course Tom Parkes.
This is the end of this public information broadcast.

my guess is that he didn't have a ton of other options. Leopards and spots and all that

although he divides opinion im well chuffed with this as he gives up pace and finishing power even if its from the bench. my guess is he has signed a 1 year deal on a little more money/incentives than his last contract.

Maybe he's backing himself to force his way into the team at the higher level. It's possible that no other clubs were interested in signing him though, because I'm of the opinion that if he'd received a half decent offer he would have gone. But then again I'm pleased that he has signed up, because I'm still of the opinion that there is a really good footballer in there somewhere. The trick for all parties (including Ellis himself of course) is to make that a reality. But in the short-term he is an excellent player to have in your squad, but hopefully the First XI.

I'm glad we've secured his services again and he feels he can contribute.
It's up to him to establish himself.
He definitely has talent, I just hope he remains focused and patient because he's a great young lad and one of our longer serving players.
I hope our loyalty brings rewards..

What did I miss last season? Last half of season mainly on the bench and appeared to give all when coming on, as did even player. He is one of those who mess about but appears to be liked by his team mates which suggests no problem

I think Harrison convinced himself or was convinced that, being still young, he could afford one more year to prove himself at Rovers rather than end up in Tranmere or else. If he flops, he'll be gone like the wind and if he succeeds, we have ourselves a good player.

I get the impression him going on loan to Hartlepool last season made him realise that he was really appreciated and valued here and he came back a different player. I've no doubt he was frustrated by not getting regular games but after his loan spell he knuckled down to become a key player in our run in to make promotion. I'm really pleased he has decided to remain with us, he obviously has the ability, he is maturing, if he can harness that with some consistent performances then we could have ourselves a really good option in attack. Well done Ellis, a great decision

I recon he knows Taylor has made his decision to leave and sees this as his real chance to become top dog. He is two years younger than Taylor when he signed for us, different people take varying times to mature. I have witnessed a maturing of Ellis since the lowest spot, awY to birmingham in the cup a couple of seasons ago, where he was quite frankly pointless. At least 15 goals in d1 this season - it's my prediction and final word.
