I'd be surprised if anyone with any sense would look at DC's judgement in a negative way for swapping tinpot Rovers for Leeds United. Ambition and wanting to better yourself is something employers like. This development wouldn't have come from nowhere, i would imagine Leeds have sounded out the agents of a few managers for this role. If Lee Johnson who has done nothing in his managerial career can work in the championship, then DC certainly can. ?? What does that mean Jim?

Big club once upon a time. But not anymore.
Sure he will pass on this one.

His promotions was always going to put him on the radar of other clubs. I would forgive him for leaving us for a better contract but we are on the up and it has only just began, whereas Leeds are owned by a man who wants to sell. Fingers crossed Dc will say thank you but no thank you, but will that stop other clubs eyeing him up, suppose only time will tell.

maybe not quite the same sort of scenario, but Holloway was chased all over the park and he took on the challenge, won some good publicity and achieved a good promo' with Blackpool, but in the end it ended up in him going nowhere , 'Going nowhere' ...with the jobs that he has had and the payouts when sacked I doubt that he will ever have to work again,a bit of media work here and there if he wants it,sounds pretty good to me.. i know what you mean, but he was into the managerial merry-go-round thing, chasing his own end for the big dollar, yea he got that but almost cost him his sanity if the QPR thing was anything to go by, i thought he was going to be doing the manager thing for some time yet, but as you say the £££ he got out of his "coming and goings" have virtually made him a well off individual.. and best of luck to him

Ambition and wanting to better yourself is not taking a job that nobody else will touch and working for an utter buffoon like Cellino. He'd gain more credibility publicly distancing himself from the role. He'd gain even more by saying nothing and using it to get a better contract offer from the Al Qadis

Been tweeted that Rovers have given permission for DC to speak to Leeds. Well as he is in Vegas with the lads that could be a bit interesting.

Robinson was 1/10 on earlier. Doesn't necessarily mean much.

Apparently Leeds are willing to offer him just over 1Mil a year.
He'd be mad not too, even if he was gone in a few months clubs could probably sympathise with the Leeds nightmare and he'd get another shot from a league club.

That's his transfer budget, not his wages!

DC last year: "I'm not going anywhere until we are top 10 league one". Doesn't come across as man who doesn't stick by his word. And I assume he didn't mean top 10 by alphabetical order before a ball is kicked.

Sorry, got that wrong. It was mentioned on another page he was with the players, but he is not it seems. Think his planned trip is totally seperate to the players & setup for his stag before Wael splashed the cash on players. Pity could be helpful if he was uncontactable on a five day bender in Vegas
