Totally agree. D'ath and Ross were the stand out players. Was hoping to see more of Forrester but I guess he will also get another opportunity.
DC said last night he is looking for a striker, two wingers/ attacking midfielders and a right sided defensive midfielder. He will use trials plus possible signings plus the loan market to fill these slots.

Evening Post have been busy for a change Craig Ross, 24 (goalkeeper): Spent last season contracted to Conference South club Eastbourne Borough. Featured as a youth for Southampton, Reading and Crystal Palace and has Conference-level experience after playing 15 times for Cambridge United in 2012/13. Ross Higgins, 19 (defender): Developed as a player for many years within the youth academy at Premier League club Everton before release in 2012. Played for nothing on non-contract terms at Birmingham City for 12 months before getting a one-year deal in 2013, but was released at the end of it. Pierce Mitchell, 18 (defender): Trained with Rovers for a month at the end of last season at the end of a two-year scholarship with Bristol City. A Republic of Ireland youth international who can play at right-back or as a right-sided central defender. Danny Haile, 18 (defender): Played in Conference North for Gloucester City last season as well as featuring in a number of development games for Rovers. Skippered the English Colleges team during time spent at Hartpury College in Gloucester. Jonathan Brown, 24 (striker/winger): Scored two goals in 37 games for Hereford United in the Conference last season after earning a contract following a successful trial. Started career at Cardiff City and has six international caps for Wales at Under 21-level. Lawson D’Ath, 21 (midfielder): Came through the youth ranks at Reading and spent four years as a professional without managing to become a regular in the squad. Has played almost 50 Football League games following spells on loan at Yeovil Town, Exeter City, Cheltenham Town and Dagenham & Redbridge over the last two years. Lewis Rankin, 19 (winger): Played a number of times for Coventry City’s Under 21 development side, but was released at the end of the season. Lewis Taaffe, 22 (midfielder/striker): Started career in the youth set-up at Leyton Orient, but joined Conference club Histon after being released as a scholar. Joined Conference South side Concord Rangers last season and scored 15 goals from midfield. Works part-time as a driver in Essex. Jordan Forrester, 18 (striker): Released from a two-year apprenticeship at Coventry City at the end of last season. Was one of the top 10 fastest 100m sprinters in the country as a 14-year-old and was linked with a move to Liverpool in 2012. Kane Mannings, 20, (goalkeeper): Played for Bristol City as a youth after switching from an outfield position as a 13-year-old. Was offered a trial at Stoke City in 2010 and has since spent time in America on a football scholarship. Featured in goal for Calor League South & West Division One side Clevedon Town last season.
