That was class. I did get nervous but we played so well. Easter is now the player we expected, looks so sharp, as did Harrison when they both came on. Bolton, Charlton, Coventry, that's more like it thanks.
Say what any of you will, these guys deserve to be remembered for years to come. Back to back promotions with a team that is virtually the same team that had trouble beating apple pickers and carpenters at Conference level back in July 2015... this is a reminder to never, EVER underestimate what team spirit and hunger are able to achieve. If any of you care enough to spend some minutes at these lads' Instagram accounts and such, not to mention the videos BRFCTV occasionally shoots, you'll see how much these players like each other and fight for each other.
We all love to watch superteams, but I'll be damned if it isn't even better to watch the underdogs win. The sky is the limit when you have friends and fans fighting with you. That's the message I get from pictures like these.
Now is the time to admit that for those in the West Enclosure who saw a silly old duffer of 50 years standing following this club sat on the terraces with tears on his cheeks - t'was me. Emotional does not begin to cover how I felt. How can this game give you such highs and lows? Such a roller coaster of emotions. Thank you to those who made it possible - I think!
Need the close season to get myself back to normal. Just can't begin to think what next season will bring. So many possibilities.
