Its rubbish, especially the not getting an email to confirm you can go, however i feel i should submit my question, even with the expectance of the answer it would get, if picked at all I haven't received an email from my neighbour forbibbing me from stealing her underwear from her washing line, so I assume it's OK to jump over the fence and help myself? But of course you are right to submit your question, at least you can then say later what it is that they didn't fancy answering.
Me neither. But I did get a court injunction

Hello Everyone,
for those of you who have been attending the Wellie meetings, you will know that we gathered together several questions from all of you(the final total numbered 14) They have now been sent to the club. I spoke to Nick Higgs, when rang me last week, and he welcomed a smaller number of questions than for the SC EGM (where I believe there were 44 questions asked), so that all who attend, like me, should have time to ask a follow-up question or make a comment will have the chance. The meeting, will hopefully, be more informative and effective if we can keep the number of questions down. If you would like to know what questions were sent I am more than happy to email them to you, SO please pm me. We put them into different categories to avoid repetition. When you read them hopefully you will agree with many of them. As a suggestion you can register for the meeting, and I sincerely hope you will, and leave it at that. But of course, if you want to send your own question in then that is your right.
Hope to see many of you again and to meet some new faces on July 21.
Mark

Here are the questions sent to the club today for the Q & A :-)
Questions for The Question and Answer event on July 21st.
The running of the club.
1. Would the board like to comment on these last four seasons' statistics and explain why they feel there should be no change at boardroom level ?
2010 - 2011 season : L1 Wins 11 draws 12 defeats 23 2011 - 2012 season : L2 Wins 15 draws 12 defeats 19 2012 - 2013 season : L2 Wins 16 draws 12 defeats 18 2013 - 2014 season : L2 Wins 12 draws 14 defeats 20
OVERALL WIN PERCENTAGE for the last FOUR seasons of 29.35 %
2. Could The Board outline the roles and responsibilities of all the BRFC Directors for the forthcoming season and beyond ? Does each of them produce and end-of -season report / annual report ? If not, why ?
3.When will the club's internal review findings be published ? What aspects of the club (DETAILS PLEASE) did it focus on ? Why was the involvement of an external voice not considered ?
5. We would like as many board decisions to be communicated to the fans, can you agree to this ?
Footballing aspects at the club.
6. Will the club be implementing a footballing philosophy for 2014-15 season, like for example at Exeter City and Swansea City, which will run right throughout the club from The Academy through the U18s and into the first team ? If there is, who is implementing it? If not what is the emphasis of the current philosophy ?
7. Who does the medicals at the club ? (In the light of unfit/injured players starting at the club or getting long-term injuries within their first season at the club).
The Manager's Role and their recruitment.
9. Could the club please explain their justifications in retaining Daryl Clarke and Marcus Stewart as the management duo for 2014-15, in the light of last season's results and in particular the last 8 games ?
10. Will there be any change, in comparison to previous seasons, in the way players are recruited at the club ?
11. In the light of so many managers being employed at the club in recent years, could the board explain what they intend to do differently in their recruitment procedures which will ensure the “right” mangers have been recruited ?
Communication with the supporters.
12.How is the club going to attempt to improve communication between itself and its supporters in the light of the suspension of The Official Forum ?
The New Stadium.
13.What is the exact position about the UWE stadium ? When will the building of the stadium start ?
Building/maintaining the fan base.
14.What our the plans for securing fans of the future ?
Merchandise and commercial aspects at the club.
15. What are the club's plans to improve the quality of merchandise for sale in the shops so that it reflects the club's nicknames (The Pirates and The Gas ) better? Does the board feel that it successfully markets the off field potential of the club, particularly with regard to merchandise, considering the commercial experience of Barry Bradshaw and Brian Seymour Smith?'

I still think this Q&A is a small step forward for the club.
Yes, the questions need to submitted in advance and we don't really know how the audience will be selected but Mr Higgs has moved to allow all supporters, not just BRSC members and season ticket holders, to attend, if selected.
In an email I sent to Mr Higgs in January, I said that it would not take a great deal to unite supporters and one way of doing it would be to hold a meeting, or preferably a series of meetings, with supporters.
Having attended both Welly group meetings so far, I think supporters are just crying out for unity, not least to ensure that when Mr Higgs said after relegation that we had hit rock bottom he was right.

As much as I would like to go and be a part of something that was as much bridge building and cathartic as it was probing, I just feel this is a very contrived set up and that in asking for questions before, makes it even less relevant than even I could imagine. This will be an exercise in futility with pre prepared answers that will not really get to the core of reality. The will be a homogenous meeting that will be full of stock answers from a hermitical board who do not want to answer and be accountable to it's fans. I hope that I am wrong and that those that go will feel satisfied that an attempt has been made to redress the situation that has arisen because we have been cast aside and treated as a commodity. I wish you good luck. I can understand, will be curious to see the questions people have been replied sorry you cant come to the questions yes you an come?

To be fair to Nick he said to me I hope this will be more of a discussion/debate than endless answering of tens upon tens of questions. I think he's right, isn't he ?

The communication process has started ..the Club recognises they have to have FANS on board otherwise the attendances will dip. The opportunity to chew over the mistakes in the past need to be undertaken quickly ..and everyone needs to move on..THE OBJECTIVE FOR ALL IS
GET THIS FAMOUS CLUB BACK INTO THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE ....WHATEVER IT TAKES

The problem with the Supporters Club Q&A was that there were far too many questions, there was only time to quickly address each one with a quick soundbyte before move quickly on. Half a dozen, or 10 at the most, with a reasonable amount of time spent on each one would have been better.
I hope that this one doesn't go the same way. Clearly the board will be allowing some difficult (though not too difficult) questions through the firewall, I hope that it isn't just a case of the them reading out pre prepared statements to each one and moving quickly on through a humungous list of questions.

Will there be an independent Moderator who can challenge the those asking and answering? I like the idea of less (but more important) questions being asked, but there is no gain if those that do get put to the BoD are not actually being answered...?

Please please please if you are very concerned about how and why we ended up getting relegated to The Conference last season and you also want to hear and possibly challenge the club's plans to bring about success this coming season then register for and come along to The Question and Answer event at the stadium on July 21st. We supporters still have not been told anything about the so- called internal review. We do not know what aspirations/expectations the board have actually set for 2104-15. All details are in the link below.See you there ! www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/fans-forum-july-21-1696242.aspx
