Detailed match reports from anyone attending would be much appreciated, going to be an interesting game with so many trialists, will be good to finally know who they are.

I think I may go, just on the grounds I have never seen Rovers play there. Friendlies bore me , but I may just have to go!

Reckon the lack of responses on here gives the OS the answer. So many comments about DC going back on his word re having a team in place .. Lack of belief and excitement in those he has bought in already / no faith he will get anyone else in outside if any trialists he currently has training with his squad / little excitement for the coming season and IMHO the forum is not always a true representation of all attending fans views of all things Bristol Rovers hence a belief he will not be able to use the site as any gauge of what sort of numbers will attend the friendly

I'm going, mainly because I love watching live football. Ciren's ground is horrid, in the middle of nowhere and I'm hopeful this'll be the first time I've gone there where my snot doesn't freeze. It'll be interesting though who we put out against a Ciren side high on confidence having just won the Southern League S & W. Interested to see how our midfield deals with Jamie Reid as well, absolute sod of a player to play against. I love him for it.

I going and taking the wife. We haven't been to Cirencester for ages, Get there early, have a walk, some food and watch some footie.
I can't wait - I am strangely excited.

That's what they usually charge, I assume they're hoping for a reasonable crowd. I'm more than happy paying it.

£8 is not sensible for a team of trialists and 1st year pros. I can't afford that / afford to justify spending that.

BTW - totally agree though that this forum is never going to be a real representation of how all Rovers fans feel / will act. Not a criticism. just reality.

I'm sure they'd do much better charging £5 or £6 - with kids free, and make more of a killing on refreshments. I see that Bath City are only charging a tenner for the visit of Cardiff's first team squad. This one is an unexpected bonus for them, as Cardiff were due to play Hereford, but that fell foul of the H&S problems.

I wonder if any Cardiff fans will remember us beating them at Twerton 2-1 with 2 VERY late goals in 14 (yes fourteen!) minutes of added time in 1990 on our way to the title. Cardiff went down that year by 1 point, so we could say we accidentally relegated them that season. gutted for the Bulls but that's another story. such a cracking club, but run by monkeys. reminds me of other clubs we know.
