It's a pity for Montano, it sounds like he has been in superb form since Notts County, I can understand his annoyance! It's a team (and squad) game, and as we are 1-1 then DC is vindicated. I agree, we've seen DC make changes like this before and they've come off and it sounds like it's working again! But I can understand Montano's frustration when he's hit a run of form.

So tight at the top with Accrington and Plymouth winning we are down to 5th and Pompey will have a game in hand. This is going to the wire.
I'd take a point today, keeps us right in the mix.

2-1 down now. We all knew that there'd be swings and roundabouts in this run in. Still time to turn around.

I'd love us to go up but if we miss out I'm confident that we'll be among the front runners next season. At the moment it's so tight it's a toss of a coin for 3rd. Playoffs are already in the bag IMO.

A couple of wins and draws will be enough but we want to be on reasonable form going into the play offs if we don't make one of the automatic spots.

C'mon Gas! Just a win to bring us back level with Argyle would be nice.

With an early start for many travelling Gasheads, thought I'd get in early with the matchday thread. There are a couple of Rovers connections with Carlisle namely; Carlisle Manager and ex Rovers player Keith CurleKeith was a typical speedy and exciting winger for Rovers and I was hugely disappointed when we let him go for a paltry £5,000 to Torquay in 1983. I know Keith so I felt somewhat betrayed (kidding Keith) when he soon left Torquay to join the 82'rs. He had three good years at the s***pit. After a couple more clubs he ended up at Manchester City where he gained three caps for England and this is where I get to name drop and re-live my one and only claim to football fame. Keith was part of the England team that toured Australia and New Zealand in 1991. I arranged to meet Keith for a beer at his hotel in Wellington along with Dennis Wise. Keith had broken his jaw in a training accident the week before and had his jaw wired up. He couldn't eat, just drink, so Guinness was the order of the day! After a couple of drinks I offered to buy a round when Keith said... "Nah, you don't have to pay. Just go up to the bar and say you're with the England team". WELL! Chest puffed out and with a huge grin on my face I swaggered up to the bar and said, in a very loud voice, I"M WITH THE ENGLAND TEAM" A memorable night and before I met him I always thought Dennis Wise was a complete and utter cock. I still have the same opinion. Angelo Balanta The other Rovers/Carlisle connection is Angelo Balanta. The only time I saw Balanta play was via the internet when he scored one of the penalties in the play off final last year against Grimsby so for that alone he has a special place in the hearts of all Gasheads. He's not played for Carlisle since mid February this year, not sure if that's due to an injury or a dip in form. So back to the game itself.. there doesn't seem to be any injuries from Friday's victory over Cambridge so you might expect an unchanged team. That is not Darryl's way so let's wait and see. Whatever the makeup of the team the confidence levels must be sky high and this has to be another winnable game. A draw would not be a disaster but I think we can do this 2-1 Gas!! COYB!! Haha! Nice story Jeff. So how long have you been in NZ?
