Adam,Antony! We'll take either,or both! Antony has plenty of experience and I imagine if DC wants him he has a good attitude.

Could be a decent signing. Stelling always likes to do the sweeney theme tune when he scored for Hartlepool and his record isnt bad.
Best get practicing the Sweeney theme

Interesting signing. Sounds like he may be the right sort of player for us in the conference

Well at least with the theme tune we have his song sorted.
I think this signing would be reminiscent of Dizzers going to Grimsby. Seems like he has the right attitude and work ethic first and foremost.

Definitely seems like a decent player to have on board - experienced, hardworking and a good attitude.

5 years ago Sweeney was superb. Would still be a cracking signing at our new level.

I'm quite pleased with the prospect of Sweeney joining us as I think he has proven to be an influential player for Hartlepool over the years but has probably become a bit stale there. He's only 30 and I'm sure he has a lot left to give and I'm hopeful linking up with Darrell Clarke at a lower level with reignite his career. He's a central midfielder who can score goals - if he does that and that alone he will have replaced O'Toole and on significantly less wages! I think he could be a good all-round player personally.
Could be a shrewd move and is a positive start to our summer recruitment.

Hope this is true but a lot of the rumour due to Richie Humphries tweeting pictures of DC at Antonys stag do a couple of weeks back.
Must be good mates so lets hope there is mileage in t!

Would be an astute signing if true. Just under 450 games for Hartlepool over 60 goals and only 30 years old. We desperately need some experience in the middle of the park and Sweeney would provide just that.

Would have been happy with this a year ago! Chuffed now especially because we're a league lower, will link up well with DC, I assume he's our Assistant Manager too?

Glad to have him here to be honest. Good to see DC knows him and knows what he is about.

Good signing if we were in League 2.
Superb signing for a conference team.
A proper pro who is good friends with DC. I feel that next season we will have a team with good honest hardworking pros, not superstar names on ridiculous wages but solid players like sweeney, players we could have had 3 or 4 of, if wages hadn't been wasted on one player.
