Dinsdale @dinsedale 47s @dinsedale lots of praise for share scheme and david brain That's strange because we pleaded with David Brain not to allow the SC share holding to be diluted and he supported it without any reservations. He did work hard recruiting share scheme members though. The reference to David Brain is completely out of context. It was me that brought his name into the debate in terms of the incredible work he did on match days signing up people to the Share Scheme. I pointed out that, for BRISA to succeed, their members would need to the same sort of thing as he did because debates on forums and websites would only take you so far.

Thank you EB, that is the main problem with feeds, it is one sided and hard to put it all into context. Saying that it is better than nothing.

I wasn:t able to attend tonight. Can anyone give a brief summary of the latest Sainsburys news today ?. How did the club answer this issue ? What was the general feeling ? Many thanks... Basically shares down 1.4pence,bogof on pringles and Nescafe and Iceberg lettuce down to 50p each. Rovers arent bothered as they shop in Aldi`s anyway and general feeling at meeting was most use Morrisons or Lidl so save anyway inspite of said offers. and morrisons are going to ressurect the green shield stamp saving scheme

Thanks for going to the trouble of doing it. So impressed with the passion of Rovers supporters in attendance tonight. There was no 'sack the board' stuff going on, just a genuine desire from passionate supporters to make the club better.

Yes. Thanks for the feed Dinsdale.
Can someone clarify the issue of the diluted share scheme. What was the problem?
Also, how many were in attendance tonight? Was it the 50 mentioned earlier or is that the other group?

Attendance about 50 again - I am disappointed we couldn't get more but .... We had a good debate again and some new faces had a really good chance to get their ideas across. People stayed till the end and we went on for over two hours.

And where are the cake recipes? Knitting pattern swapsies? No mention of them at all. Sssh - that takes place at a top secret venue, hosted by myself and Angas. :naughty:

Yes. Thanks for the feed Dinsdale. Can someone clarify the issue of the diluted share scheme. What was the problem? Also, how many were in attendance tonight? Was it the 50 mentioned earlier or is that the other group? Tote A few years ago the board wanted new shares released. This meant the share scheme percentage of ownership in the club would be halved. I raised this as an issue at the meeting as fans who had contributed like me in good faith felt the shareholding should have been maintained as advertised when the scheme was set up. The meeting revealed David Brain the fans rep at the time and brsc allowed this too happen.

Thanks Dinsdale, I thought that was what was meant.
However, whilst I agree with you that we want as big a share in the club as possible, who is going to refuse investment?
Last yeAr for instance, rovers were suffering from a big cash flow problem, which resulted in NH converting a million pounds of loans into shares. Would people prefer that not to have happened? Struggling businesses often need a cash injection, which is dealt with by a new share issue. Other than outright gifts of money how else can it happen?
My question would be why is there a two tier pricing structure for shares, with it being £5 for mere mortals like me and 40 p per share for the directors? Of course the answer you will get back is that the directors also guarantee certain levels of loans.
I know I have mentioned it before, and I keep banging on about it. I am a season ticket holder and I feel we get a pretty good deal. Alright, we pay upfront, but so what? Why can't there be a levy on each season ticket of say £5 or £10 per head on all adult s/t 's that is ring fenced for additional shares in the club that have to be lodged in the s/c's name? But more importantly at the same price the directors pay? Why don't we use the blatant love of the club our fans show week in,week out to some advantage? At 40 pps on 1500 s/t's (guessing) at £10 levy, that is an investment of £15000 per season or 37,500 shares. Not insignificant, and ongoing. But to do anything like this, the board have to re engage with the fan base, and yet this is the simplest thing to do. Use the age old method god gave us. TALK TO US .
If it wasn't for the million plus raised by the fans, there would have had to be further loans equating to the same figure. That is why I never joined the share scheme.it has to be seen to be fair.
