What a ridiculous thread. People are negative? No s*** sherlock. We've just been relegated to non-league, are signing some very average players, got a weakened back room staff, a leader that failed as assistant and failed in the final 8 games as manager then cried, no scouts, board review non-existent, same directors, millions in debt and stadium plans close to collapse. There you go.

Am I considered one of these constantly negative moaners? I certainly don't see any cause for optimism at Rovers right now. I am more than happy to debate with anyone. I respect all Rovers fans- there is simply no such thing as a glory hunting Rovers fan (or **** fan for that matter). I play the ball, not the man, and am quite happy to debate reasonably with anyone on here. So here goes- BRFC will never recover from it's ongoing decline as long as Higgs, Bradshaw and Dunford control the club. Now, whos going to show me where I'm wrong? the only people who can prove you wrong are Higgs, Bradshaw and Dunford but i suspect that they dont bother to read this stuff.New signings who want to see the reaction of their new fan base probably do and so what kind of first impression does it give if the first thing they read about themesleves is being slagged off by fans who have never seen them play . Really? You sound pretty sure of that. So why for example was a massive print out of posts from this site waved around by the BoD to justify Mr Spencer's ban?

He is 'a friend of Dunfords' and has worked as his right hand man for many years, what do you expect? It's an old boys network and not what you know, but who you know. Reminds me of a League of Gentleman 'local shop for local people' sketch.

Best post I've read on this forum. Spot on. I dont think that there is a single fan who has any illusions that we are anything other than at the lowest ebb of our existance. The reality is however that despite this we will still go along to games because we support Bristol Rovers football club. That doesnt mean that we need people constantly moaning or telling us how things have never been so bad - we know that!! You moan that we are signing average players when another thread by people who have seen them play is saying that we are signing some good players . You moan about the stadium plans being close to collapse - do you know that ? Sorry but you are not a " realist" at all - you are a pessimist

I bet you were saying the same before the Mem re-development and the move to Whaddon Rd fiasco and the signings that Ward made. The apathy and lack of footballing intelligence from some of the fanbase is part of the problem, the Board of Directors are allowed to fail time and time again with impunity. It's time for the Lemmings to wake up and smell the coffee.

Come on now Henbury...you know he won't tell you that....you haven't got the "football intelligence" to understand what he would say, see?
Mr Realist might be related to Roadman.

Oh well.
I've given it a go, and I must say that it saddens me. The Rovers fan base really has become a bunch of negative doomsayers who diride anyone who doesn't agree. No one thinks the place we find ourselves in is anything other than a disaster. We all hope and pray that the UWE isn't dead in the water, but the truth is we don't know. We all wish we were still in league 2 or higher, but we're not. We all wish players were queueing up to join us from the Championship with their only wish being to drag us up to that level with skillfull fully comitted performances, and waiving thier normal wages, but they're not. The rose tinters aren't the devils in carnate dragging the club down. None of us are. We are all entitled to our opinions, I was just tired of the constant moaning. Some however seem to thrive and feed on it, like some dark entity from Dr Who or Star Trek.
I hope Rovers do well next season, but some will always find fault. Just don't take it out on each other.
I really can't stand it any more , and I'm taking you all with me.............BANG!

Where is the review? the leadership? the action? the plan? the improved structure? No action=negativity

All the moaning in the world isnt going to make the Rovers situation any better. We are where we are, unfortunately due to `them people` but there is bugger all we could have done then or can do now. Except support the Gas and see how things pan out. Id just like to say, there really is a lot of poison at the Rovers and im not talking the board. Give the Team as a whole a chance and dont get someone put on the dole just becasue he doesnt meet your deluded standards after 5 minutes. We are non league Bristol Rovers and playing billy big bollocks has got us here. Plenty of proper `big` football clubs have slided down the league through mis-management and gone back to where they belong. Hopefully,in a few years time we will be back where we belong..in the 3rd division.

"the poisonous atmosphere" at the stadium directed at players/managers, when it should be directed at those resposible for the problems - the directors? Maybe he did have a point.

I think the bloke did have a point. no matter where in the ground you stand/sit you cant get away from it. like most things Rovers, the atmosphere started to get worse when Trollope was on the slide. IMO. Those times set the trend for the overpaid, useless players we continue to sign up untill last season and the supporters have just lost faith I feel. tarred Younger players especially dont stand a chance. Cringeworthy and embarressing are two words I would use for the abuse aimed at players. Im not excusing the obvious chancers but certainly some dont deserve it. Throwing money at problems doesnt cure them. A fool and his money are easily parted. Hence no billy big bollocks this season.
