Actually I have been to Chesham's ground (to see Frome) and it is a lot better than that picture. A main stand, a covered end and the side has a biggish stand too. Holds about 4/5 thousand at a guess. The only problem they have is parking. And the pitch is very good I've been to the ground too; being at the bottom of a hill it appears to suffer some drainage problems. They have had more problems off the pitch though with lots of upheavals with managers and key players leaving over the years, but it seems to be a more settled club. Many view it as the local sleeping giant cliché.

Many view it as the local sleeping giant cliché. On the contrary, it drains very well indeed and its usual for games to be on at Chesham Utd when the great majority of others in the area are off due to waterlogging. Not sure about "problems off the pitch"? Current Manager has been in situ since summer 2007 and the last significant player "upheaval" was at the end of 2013/14 when the club lost the play-off final (for promotion to the Conference - now National League), and an excellent squad then promptly got pillaged by the neighbouring Conference teams. Not many contracts at this level . Last season was a bit of a 'mare recovering from that, but much more to be +ve about this term

Hi Cheshamite, I am a Gashead living in Chenies about for miles from Chesham so in some ways, I am hoping it is a draw so that I can see my beloved team just down the road.

interesting comments about waterlogging; perhaps you can give Wycombe a few lessons then!
btw what's your security officer like? does he like the odd postponement when you're losing?

Hi cheniesgas, small world, know it well
A good recent example of significant waterlogging was on Jan 03 2015 when a huge no of non league games in these parts were called off, pretty much wiping out that days' fixture list. Chesham's home game went ahead on a perfectly good pitch and ended with a 3-0 win. The opponents that day? Truro, featuring one Mr Barry Hayles

Hilarious. Banana skin?! No chance in hell! Oh the panic in some people. Lol If anyone has seen recent fixtures against the likes of Totton, Corby, Dorchester or even Cirencester/Mangos this pre season, the gap in quality & fitness between league 2 and southern divisions is absolutely huge. Sure you have to respect your opponents, be professional and make sure you treat it as any other league game, but we should sail through this one no problems at all. Oh and I fully expect this one to be a tenner & quid a kid! Bring it on. Not sure it is panic. Think it is all ironic, gallows humour tbh. Which given our recent home form is understandable. That's exactly right, as I'm quite certain most people on here realise, and remember that to be the case for many many years. It's all part and parcel of the DNA of Rovers supporters, we enjoy a good laugh at our own expense . . . don't we? Well, we used to be at any rate, at least as far as I remember at least. Anyway since the issue's been raised, there's no panic here neither Captain Mainwaring.

Reading the football section of the Bucks Free Press over the last 20 years there had been a few stories of changes in staff, but, like I said, the club is more settled and you've got Barry Hayles.

I've never seen Rovers score eight, nine or ten in a proper match. Or concede seven or more. So hopefully one of those things happen, and if its the latter I hope Barry fills his boots.

Match has now been moved to the Sunday so that a single TV camera can be present!

I must be very thick because I genuinely cannot tell if this statement means the game will be on TV.

Apart from the obvious what does single camera coverage mean? Is it online only, can it be watched legally abroad (or illegally) etc etc.

From the FA website: "Sunday's FA Cup Final Score, which shows all the key action as it happens from eight selected matches".

The Camera will be on Chesham goal as the goals fly in and Lee Dixon can describe each one saying how poor the defenders were at marking Taylor and Easter as they both notch first half hat tricks.

Basically sacked off the Southend game on the Tuesday, to be shown trouncing a semi pro side for a few quid.
Brilliant stuff.
