Just back as live in London. Orient look a very good side but second half was pretty even and with better finishing we could have got back into it. Not too disappointed as just felt good to back at a proper ground playing against a proper club. We gave them some grief about West Ham but when you see how close the Olympic park is you realise how unfair that move is going to be. Absolute rubbish - as a west ham and rovers fan i could be accused of bias - however giving orient the olympic stadium achieves what? It is questionable as to why the Hammers got the stadium, but the 'legacy' question answers that, it will be full for every home game and all the area around will benefit as a result of that. Don't think Orient ever wanted the the stadium I'm not suggesting that. Just that they were never considered at any stage in the shambolic decision making process around the Olympic legacy.

The impression that I've always had is that Orient never wanted the stadium for themselves, but also never wanted it to be awarded to WHUFC either.

I always thought that Oreint were most interested in a ground share. Would have made sense to me.

I always thought that Oreint were most interested in a ground share. Would have made sense to me. That's true kent - but would have been a bit weird - 54,000 one week, 6,000 the next. I don't think the way Hammers have gone about obtaining the OS is completely above reproach - but's let's face it, it was handed to them (us), I only wish Rovers would benefit from a benefactor now that UWE seems dead in the water...
