Too short to be a keeper. He was obviously tall enough for Southend and Bournemouth for the last 4 seasons.

We really should be able to put this 'Puddy is too short' thing to bed by realising that he is the same height as world cup winners Iker Casillas and Julio Ceasar.

Which in at least one of those cases proves you don't need height or any great ability to succeed. You just need to be the last unused line behind 10 very good players.

At one stage both of those keepers were arguably the best in the world. I have the belief Puddy can be as well.

Puddy is going to be a fantastic example of the adage 'you're never as good as when you are not in the team'. Puddy is OK - he's a perfectly adequately goalkeeper. Mildenhall is OK. I don't think at this moment in time that either of them are difference makers at this level. Ideally we'd probably upgrade the position or move to a situation where we had a de facto number 1 and a youngster as the backup. But if we continue to struggle a bit and Mildenhall continues to play then come mid September Puddy is going to have a reputation among Rovers fans akin to Gordon Banks in 1970.

Conor Gough was 6'8 wasn't he? According to Wiki, Conor Gough is 6'7"...the same height as Fraser Forster.

Still can't understand when Puddy picked up his injury, was that in pre-season or was he carrying an injury at the end of last season? As we were stuck with Mildenhall for another season I still can't understand why we offered Puddy a contract when we really needed a decent No 1 not two decent back up goalies.
