Any idea why our Chairman was holding that flag, did he think it was a Sainsbury's Play Fair flag, or was he just thankful of a decent pay day at Wembley? Give the bloke a break eh, after all we've just got to Wembley and are just one decent performance from a return to the Football League. It's a time for rejoicing, not cheap jibes. Sainsbury's is for another day, enjoy this one.

I thought Macca very good too. And he was very shouty at his own team. Lockyer misplaced some passes, but did better as the game wore on. I thought Taylor was very good too - great first touches and movement - and Bliss was getting a lot of love from the crowd where I was (loved his bicycle kick shot, however rubbish it was in the end)
Mansell really grew into the game as it opened up in midfield, and Lines looked dangerous (although didn't take his best shooting opportunity as it was on his wrong foot). Gosling played well, but fluffed 2 out of his 3 shooting opportunities
Overall we made them not look much

Over the two legs I've been impressed with the FGR goalkeeper. He appears to be a good shot stopper. Is it OK for me to say that?

Very efficient at picking the ball out of the back of his net as well. Well done him. Our central defenders were superb against a massive lump who scored 25 this season. Did Puddy have a single save to make today? Hope Dis has a miserable trip home on May 17th.

FGR were awful. Set piece long ball team. They would have struggled to stay up if they had of got promoted

Lools like Grimsby, 2-0, 4-1.on agg On the evidence of my eyes so far in this game, I don't see too much for us to worry about. I hope that I'm not wrong, but I really believe that with the careful preparation of the manager and his staff, the final game is not beyond us. We don't want to start the game cocky, just confident. That'll do it.

Impressed by Clarke.
Said he had a plan if we won and indeed if we had lost. Something for Toni W to learn from.

Today was the day Darrell Clarke showed a worldwide TV audience what a superb manager and what a superb character he is. Passion, honesty and hunger to win football matches is what separates the great managers from the poor ones, and DC is going places in the football world, i'm afraid to say it's unlikely it will be with us. I just can't remember the last time a team was so well drilled, mixed up play so well and played there heart out for themselves, the shirt, the fans & the manager. We could have won both legs 5-0, but what stands out is how dominant and comfortable the players look. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, there has been so many this season, time to finish the job on the 17th May, and for once i don't think anyone can doubt anything about our manager and our players.

But then again he didn't have the advantage of playing in front of a well-drilled (and well-coached) BRFC defence. Anyway, perhaps I'm easily impressed eh? But I do agree with you regarding Disley. Nothing personal like.

Nothing personal like. Their keeper kept them in the tie on Wednesday. As good as any other keeper I've seen play against us this season. As you say, nothing personal with Dis, will be delighted to applaud him as he collects his runners-up medal.

Yeah - you know I've had this nightmare all season about Craig Disley scoring a 90th minute headed winner from a set piece in the playoff final. But I think I actually feel better about us playing Grimsby than I would have done about playing Eastleigh. Not really sure why, I mean I know we lost to them at home recently but I don't really think that's it. I just feel happier with the Grimsby matchup.
