He kept that quiet. Mind you, so did Frank Maloney.

Pathetic, what is the big secret with him this club tell us f all I get angry when the club doesn't tell us the truth about ground developments or the club's finances. If they want to keep news of an injury quiet to keep the opposition guessing about our starting line up, then I couldn't give a toss tbh.

What if he's lying about having an operation and is in fact in the starting XI Saturday?

Why's he having an op when he was walking perfectly fine. It was also announced that he was fine.

He's hardly helping to keep quiet about it posting it on instagram, but do we really need to worry that much about Aflreton bearing in mind Easter's hardly played anyway? Perhaps the OP can screen shot Easter's post as his instragram account is private?

If it is a CL, wish him all the best for recovery. This is after all the lads career, he would have been desperstecto play.

We signed a striker, he plays about 25 minutes for us and gets injured. Would you believe it? I can't believe it. Unbelievable isn't it? I mean ... when has this ever happened? Ever?

Here's a pic I'm guessing that maybe the club weren't going to put it in the public domain yet. DC is well known for not revealing too much info about availability of players before a game.

What a sickner as he looked a decent striker in his only full game at the mem, I assume this is the injury he picked up against Chester but it didn't look anything serious at the time?

If it seems too good to be true and all that eh, really hope his basic salary isn't comparable to Lines's!

To be fair, it doesn't really make you a sicknote if you have to have an op on a ligament injury. If it were something less defined as that then fair enough but you can't really knock the bloke for an injury like that...

No but it was inevitable it was going to happen wasn't it, I think everyone saw it coming as soon as he was signed! My gripe's not with Easter it's the fact we seem to have returned to the philosophy of throwing money at 'names' which saw us plummet 2 divisions out of the football league.

Neither you nor I know the money Easter is on. So you cannot make any assumptions, other than he wanted to move to this area, and it was between us and the manager he knew, Newport County or Cheltenham. So was it all about money, no.
And if Lines scores the goal that takes us up then it will be worth at least £500,000

Precisely, they've chucked money at getting Lines in and if it pays off it will be worth it, the same would have been true of Easter.

The injury Easter's picked up could have just as easily been suffered by Lines, it hardly makes one signing worse than the other?
We're v. lucky Harrison's hit form or we could be missing Easter as much as we did Gow last season.
