Dovers outside chance of playoffs disappeared this week so they might just be a bit deflated on Saturday. Alfreton however are back in trouble as welling won. Alfreton play welling on Saturday - if Welling win Alfreton will already be relegated by the time we play them. If welling don't beat Alfreton they will be going at us like madmen to ensure survival. There could be so much riding on that last game!

You would think that possible promotion v possible relegation would swing it for BT coupled with a 10,000 + crowd (even if BRFC don't declare the real numbers there will be 10,000+) so offers a great atmostphere . If they televise there will still be a full house!

I think kiddy v barnet is also an interesting game
The old chestnut of nothing to play for is one thing but there are several interesting dynamics around this one;
New chairman just come in
Manager fuming after poor performance at Welling
Senior pros publicly trying to lift youngsters
Opportunity to have a go at a big team who they fought back against to get a 3-3 draw earlier this season
Final home game after a troubled campaign
If Rovers were going there this weekend rather than a few weeks ago I'd be worried - barnet would be daft to count their chickens just yet

It's like playing Blackpool.

Tbh I think the harder of the 2 games left now will be Alfreton if they beat welling on sat they will only need a point at ours to ensure they stay up , and it's does not matter how good of form we are in if a team turns up and parks the proverbable bus for a point it could be a long 90 mins

Don't get me wrong I know it's a big ask to expect kiddy to win and I don't think they will but a draw isn't beyond them even the bookies see it that way barnet were much shorter odds to win at Dartford who in theory had much ' more to play for'

Thinking of 'needing to win' and late title finishes I recently looked again at the stats for man City vs QPR in May 2012. As we all know City did win (JUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but they were 2-1 down even though QPR only had 3 shots all game. City had over 30 shots of which over 20 were on target! And QPR were down to 10 men for quite some time. Some days it just doesn't quite happen. and then sometimes it suddenly does. how many times did we hit the post vs mansfield? 3? mad, mad game. ANYWAY, I really hope Welling win on saturday. that would do us a favour.

Obviously I hope they have a good day, but...

If we can't beat Alfreton at home then we won't deserve to go up. Parked bus or not.

Maybe barnet on bt sport 1 and us BT sport 2? Highly unlikely. Unless anything changes this weekend, the cameras will be at The Hive but will be flashing back to the mem alot, obviously dependent on the score at the hive. If Barnet beat kiddy and are 2 up against gateshead, don't expect the cameras to be flashing back to the mem much. This is the conference after all not the prem.

Even if that were to be the case, I think that the club would only declare 7,500 to 8,500 brave souls in attendance. It's in BRFC genes you see, but you would think that they would be pleased wouldn't you.

Usually I turn up about 5-10 minutes before kick off. last few weeks I have been getting there 25mins before kick off. Alfreton I will be there an hour before. If we are still in the hunt for automatic promotion it will be a nerve shredding day.
I am consumed by this and just thinking about the last two games makes my palms sweat
