I am glad that my criticism of Taylor inspired him :-) GET IN!!!!!!!! And I'm glad you weren't stood in front of us tonight because you would have ruined what was in large parts good football to watch. Easter off the ball a joy to watch and deserved goal, Taylor very hard working, a deserved goal and a deserved ovation when subbed over want away Harrison who was in the main falling over and wayward. Loving the look of the Taylor and Easter partnership tonight and being back at the Mem leaving past thoughts behind and a ditinct lack of whingers on the terraces who when did show up got drowned out by supporters. Darrell got it mostly spot on tonight and finally got fans recognising him by singing his name.

Easter worked very hard closing down defender's, put us more on front foot and the team pressing.

Beeb says:
Bristol Rovers returned to the top of the Conference with a deserved victory at home to Aldershot.
Jermaine Easter smashed in his first goal for the hosts to open the scoring, but Brett Williams slotted home for Aldershot to equalise before half-time.
After the break, Rovers scored twice in quick succession to win the game.
First Andy Monkhouse put them back in front from close-range and then Matt Taylor volleyed in to move them above rivals Barnet, who play on Saturday.
The results leaves Aldershot 18th in the table, eight points above the drop zone, but their relegation rivals all have at least two games in hand.

How many goals does Bob Monkhouse have now 6 or 7. Dont understand why he gets so much criticism from a few. A decent footballer. Would be nice of he wasnt in the latter part of his career.
Great result last night. Hopefully puts some pressure on the other teams today
Glad to hear Taylor and Easter played well.
Just gutted i was stuck in bed

Chris Barker says rovers will probably go on to win the league.....and Aldershot lost to Barnet with a scrambled 1-0 goal.....rovers should be in division 2.
Always nice to get praise from opposition fans and now manager.

Monkhouse & Taylor shutting some mouths after putting up with s*** all season. Great win, hopefully some other clubs do us some favours tomorrow. Coming from the bloke who said we should rip Harrison's contract up...

Not mentioned here but we have rightly criticised refereeing this season but last nights ref was excellent. Possibly a bit lenient with the cards but excellent advantage for monkey's goal & after Dawson was wiped out by left back again played advantage & about 5 minutes later when the ball went out booked left back

When I am at a game - I do not slag off players. 25 years of watching the Gas through thick and thin and let's face it - mostly thin. I don't think I would have ruined your enjoyment.

Nick Day was in fine form last night.
I have been waiting for him to explode, that would be messy, during his start of a game exaltation, "Come on you Rovers, come on you blues" and he was close last night only getting half way through before coughing and spluttering to a mangled halt.
Did he really wish Seymour Cox a happy birthday at half time?
