Yes but with their goal difference advantage it is pretty much an extra point. Our lack of goals may prove costly. No it is not an extra point. You don't get an extra point for having superior goal difference. ?

You don't get an extra point for having superior goal difference. Our 'lack of goals' will not matter if we keep winning, winning ugly, which we are at the moment. A win is a win and if we win every game but Halifax and Macclesfield we will go up. I think we'll draw with Halifax and Macclesfield. What are you talking about? If both teams have the same points then the one with the better goal difference will be placed higher in the table. Therefore we need to be at least one point ahead of them. It's pretty much out of our hands currently because if Barnet win all their games we cannot catch them, all we can do is keep winning like you say and hope they slip up and the chasing pack dont overtake us..

Feckin hell lads
Its not worth an extra point, as if we finish one point above Barnet, goal difference won't matter.
Its effectively worth an extra point, should Barnet and us finish on the same points. Can we compromise and say superior goal difference is worth half a point?

I did say it's effectively an extra point on my OP. obviously only applies if points are level but isnt that obvious?

Or we could just talk about goal difference for what it is - ie. a tie breaker. Therefore it is only relevant if there is a tie. It's not worth any extra points because if it was Barnet would get given the extra point and be level on points and then you'd have to use something else as the tie breaker like getting Stuart Sinclar and John Akinde to complete a series of complex quests.
In exactly the same vein - away goals are definitely not worth double which some people often say. They are also a tiebreaker that only become relevant if there is a tie. This is also why that rule is silly and should be scrapped because it ruins Champions League games and has lead to the development of a particularly dire form of counter attacking football.
Also, Macc are 6 points behind us with 2 games in hand. It is likely that if they won those 2 games in hands they would probably go ahead of us on goal difference. As others have said I'm surprised that the debate is boiled down to us vs Barnet. On current form Barnet will drop out of the Championship running and Macc and Grimsby would become the primary threats. So maybe we shouldn't be putting quite this amount of investment into winding up Barnet.....

A drum adds to the atmosphere in the same way a dog poo adds to a salad.

Great support though, some of our away support despite being large in number has seemingly been in a comatosed condition

Great support though, some of our away support despite being large in number has seemingly been in a comatosed condition To be fair to them they have a fair few chants they get through. We only manage to muster up a chorus of goodnight Irene on aways at times despite big numbers. We could be more creative. Good on em I say, even if I'm not a fan of the drum.

Always take my ear drums, although they do hurt my neck after 90 minutes
