Its been great fun coming to watch this season and I cant remember enjoying as much since Wembley and promotion.Ward's lack of desire to get a striker, John Joe the Toole's disruptive influence, Mohammed leaving the ball behind - all forgotten. I had an awful sinking feeling walking to the Mem that first match to see Vanarama conference signs, so depressing. Had steeled myself to 5-6 years of this.
Now DC and the players deserve praise especially Parkes and Browner who have been so consistent. The squad is capable of playing well at the next level and, given the right additions keep pushing up. Can't wait to see what we could do with Sinclair and Easter in the team.

Sorry ward maybe a gent but he was to blame for us going into non league. The board are at fault for a fall from top league one side in 2001 to ending up where we are now as we have been run like a joke. The potenial of our club and where we have been over these past 15 years is a disgrace. But ward created such an unbalaced side last season,no wingers,no forwards and a negative style of football.DC has turned it around and could leads us to a couple of promtions given time. I am with you on this, and let's remind ourselves he said we didn't need a striker. If only we had scored just one goal on the last day with the striker we didn't need
Many people are to blame and no one knows the full story of our demise but ultimately the buck stops at Higgs he spent too much time on the stadium and he should have made ward get a striker in .if he delivers the uwe and we get back into the league he will be vindicated but as it stands he will always be blamed for our relagation

Considering how Harrison's attitude on and off the pitch has improved, I think DC's credit is very much deserved.
I used to think he wouldn't amount to nothing and by this time of the year would be rotting on Bath City's bench, but he's now, at the very least, achieved "super sub" status and has been off of the media and our very own limelight.

Credit where credit is due - and it's the ONLY credit that he's due:-
Signing Tom Parkes is about the only success story that MM could claim (with the possible exception of bringing in Tom Eaves on loan).

Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet! In defence of John Ward, he is on record publicly stating he had not wanted to remain as manager but was convinced to by Higgs and co, I suspect this was in no small part down to Ward privately believing he was no longer cut out for it as a manager in the modern game. Looking forward; IF we are promoted in 10/13 games time in footballing terms we will be back where we were, but in a much healthier position imo, and provided Clarke stays we will have finally broken out of the endless loop of managerial failures that began with the scrapping of the DOF and first team coach set up.
