Sooner have Haldane back. I'd have Haldane during his Rovers career over any current squad member.

I always thought Padstow was right about Lewis. I think that bit of energy outwide is exactly what would help the team right now.

Where is Padstow by the way, it's longer than usual this time.

Anyone remember when WestcountryGas's contact said we were signing a 'top quality addition' and it turned out to be Dave Martin?

Yes - I do hope he's OK - I remember him posting that he hadn't been well. I'm sure he'll be back at some point and then disappear in a huff again when someone refuses to completely agree with his extremely strong negative opinion of them. Strange poster - never felt he quite got the hang of message boards; only person I've seen proclaim they are leaving a message board on a thread only to come back to that thread later on to continue the argument and then leave again. Unless there's only 2 people on a message board threatening to leave it doesn't really carry much weight. I miss his analysis of the game - it was genuinely interesting.

That means it's pointless talking about a player who scored vital goals for Rovers at a higher level than most of the current squad have ever played at when the conversation starts with comments like yours. Lewis was a headless chicken but Sinclair and Mansell are battlers? Riiiiiight. And who, apart from you, has slagged anyone off?

However limited a footballer Lewis may have been at times there is no way he would have performed as badly or given up playing as many seemed to last season. Fair enough that some may not have considered his efforts good enough or had enough ability but he damn well tried and gave his all for Bristol Rovers while he was with us. I'll never forget his efforts in the JPT final where he literally ran himself into the ground and his tracking back in the Wembley final helping out in defence. So make fun of him and his ability all you like but I wished we'd had someone like him and more of his type last season.

I wouldn't have monkhouse in the side,by the time he gets the ball under control and looks up he is surrounded he's way too slow and would struggle massively if we went up. When the beard is back I would have gosling, mansell,Sinclair and Dawson in midfield with Taylor and Easter up front:)the defence picks itself brown, parkes, mcristal and leadbetter Looks a good side on paper with more pace and flair

Cost us two points at Aldershot with the worst finish I've seen all season Taylor has had many worse attempts this season. Sack boner.

Sooner have Haldane back. I'd have Haldane during his Rovers career over any current squad member. haldane was a very good league 2 winger so i agree he would do very well in this team[during rovers career],,i actually think lee brown and tom parkes could go further in the game but that remains to be seen.

Many thanks for that irish, 'cos it made me laff. A bit of an oasis in the desert.
