15 page tread on gaschat and 3 on here.... ummm That's always been the case, most gravitate towards Gaschat on matchdays for the thread. I use both and the figures for watching in the week tends to be 3 to 2 to this forum. Numbers mean little as people like myself use both forums. And why make a point about it, is this another wind up Trym? The match thread here just didnt have enough O Toole or Akinde posts

First time I've seen a megaphone in a crowd! I take it he is the safety officer and they were expecting a fire drill.

I get the impression many of those who use this forum are actually at the game so don't post on match days.

15 page tread on gaschat and 3 on here.... ummm Yes, you're right that the gaschat Match Day Threads get more posts, but people have come up with some good reasons. You also need to factor other things in; it's not quite as distinct today as you make out. 1/ You could count 2 separate threads on here as being Match Day Threads. 2/ Threads on here have 30 postings per page / Threads on gaschat have 20 postings per page.

I think this forum has continued to be the "alternative forum", gaschat has pretty much taken over from the old official forum.
Guess people can draw their own conclusions why that happened, but I suspect the main posters on both are happy with forums that represent their different points of view.

So all in all not much different really then in the actual number of posts, just that ours are more considered

Fantastic result today, every single player earned their wage!
On a different subject, did anyone see the various slopes on the Blundell Park pitch? Have never seen anything like it before!

All generally quite positive regarding us from their forum: www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1423934453/I like moosey club post who says lets give it a right go next week v Barnet to give Bristol Rovers a chance of the title, as they don't want to play us in play offs!

good to read the stuff on their forum, reminds me of 1990 when the defence was solid, only we scored more, but nice to see they think we will take the title, hope they are right, my heart cant take another play off final

Fair play to the Grimsby fans. Would rather they get promoted with us than any of the other clubs

Good read, hope they do beat Barnet for their own good as well. Like PP said it would be great if it was them and us promoted (Grimsby).

Will Barnet also be without Akinde for that match given his sending off yesterday?

Yes he will, as I can't see a mid-week game for them, and he will miss next match

Will Barnet also be without Akinde for that match given his sending off yesterday? Yes. He's been lucky to dodge red cards on a few other occasions this season, notaably for his elbow on Tom Lockyer and in the Grimsby game.
